    Falling rain

Mods, feel free to move this if it's unsuitable.

Found a great recording of 42 minutes of rain sound on ourmedia at the internet archive. Very relaxing, good to paint by. Be sure to grab the .flac or VBR .mp3 recording. I haven't assessed the .ogg recording but the 64kbps recording is replete with compression artefacts.

    Can be grabbed here

To be truthful I've been scavenging pink-noise soundscapes from all over the place but that's probably the best one I've found.

I also found a bunch of recordings of more varied settings (one of which is stock rainfall) by a guy who goes by the name of strawberryviagra. At any rate, you can listen here but you'll need to subscribe to the podcast to actually grab the mp3s, for some reason.

Incredibly relaxing, and you can easily use the long tracks to delimit your workflow, i.e. take a walk around every time the track finishes...

It's often difficult to get rain and digital art happening at the same time at my current location because rain is normally accompanied by electrical storms here...

The sound that really makes me very pleasantly sleepy is either Bob Ross or the sound of sandpaper on a surface.
