LMAO! My mum just looked at this thread and said
"Wow, look at all this mess. They've destroyed their rooms. Your's is much neater compared to those."
    Hahaha.

apologies for the crappy phone picture, the mess on the right is supposed to be where i draw but i've been forced to move the keyboard and settle for that

i think i'll rearrange it however, theres more light on the left side which has just been made obvious to me..

You all are going to laugh hysterically at my organizational skillz... clutter much?

For reals though, I just upgraded to a 30'' monitor and a new Mac Pro tower... now Painter has NO CHOICE BUT TO WORK RIGHT. My laptop at the side there is what I have been working on for 2 years X_x

So, this was my big gift to myself for moving cross country and lasting a year at The Frog. I now declare myself an official grown-up.

Would it change your mind if I told you that 2/3 of the stack of books to my left there are composed of girlie porn? You know, just for reference for a side project...

Noe, your mum's atelier is a really gorgeous space, so much light! I really need to clean my studio up, I didn't realize how much the clutter pisses me off until I saw such clean and airy workspaces like that.

Mod's "sticky" just in case the old thread won't return.

don't worry mate my first room was 6m². I'm just lucky and working my ass off...tip if you put some effort in it you can make any room look good only light is very crucial + i have a sister that saw every house remake series on the TV, she's my n°1 room decorator .

Wow everyone's places look so much cooler than mine :/

@ Uziel; wooot! Awesome view. The view of my room is the boy scouts and the graveyard. Which is cool too, sometimes But the graveyard is pretty boring.
@ Justin; why making you feel bad?

I'm so jealous! I don't even have a table to draw on right now! I'm just bidding my time until school starts...and then I'll have some space.

Noe; Like moroi, I don't even have a table to draw from books on.
I've got a small desk crowded by the monitor, an end table lamp (does not provide good night lighting), a scanner that is falling apart, and my keyboard. My wacom usually lays up on the floor because my parents keep kicking it and then not picking it up. It's already got scratches right in the center of it which makes it really hard when getting to the nitty-gritty, and I spent 350 fucking dollars on that thing. (Of my own money.)

Not to mention I'm in a bad mood tonight.

@ Justin; that sucks man, isn't there a place where you can put stuff away? I usually put my wacom on a shelf in a closet when I'm not using it.
I understand it would be hard to take that your family is treating something so valuable (at least for you) that way.
Most of the places where I draw at home are just in the "public areas" like behind our computer and on the table next to the TV.
Life can be made shitty for you when you're less able to do what you love. But you can always try to make the best of it? Try drawing during the day so you don't have to bother with shitty lighting, try drawing outside so you don't have to deal with shitty parents, just do whatever to make the best of it.
And good luck with the bad mood man, hope it's cleared up a bit by now. *hug*

oh dear. I really need to do maths now. 4 hours until test.. *runs away*
    Love
    Marleen

Tim man that is one packed space, i had my studio in a bedroom problem is you feel tired you can crash at less trying to keep an office routine means I wouldn't do that, I rarely see my bedroom these days but at elast I get 6 or 7 hrs full break from my lil studio, colour guess I should but am a pencils man, going to do some painting in photoshop so if any those look good enough to hang on the wall i will.

the wall is more a thinking space, sketches concepts in front of my drawing desk helps me organise projects, pretty colours would only distract. now to find that bottle of pepsi and get some work done.

hehe, yea man i would love to have a studio to separate my ws from private space, but im a poor student at the mo, so this will have to do! Still I like it alot here, but yea the discipline sometimes waivers... But having a loftbed sure as hell saves alot of space, its alomst like two rooms! (yea right...)
