Beto Machado's NEVERENDS Sketchbook
A quick doodle i did so i could compare the regular, quick inked linework to the ink done with the Pen Tool (the hair is all Pen).
I have this weird thing where i just start doodling with the ink, and end up with those crazy black spots and more muscles than i should. In the end, i get something that seems dynamic and lively, but with spotty anatomy and wacky shadows. I'll post more "normal" stuff later on. I'm trying to find a middle ground, because my more grounded style bores me to tears. Check this piece for something where i tried a "controlled chaos" style.
I really like how digital inks look... But DAMN they're slow to do (at least right now, since i'm still learning).
This is one of my characters, by the way. You'll be seeing a LOT of him.

Just a quick doodle from the main character of my series, NEVERENDS.
Very light inking, which is not how i usually do things. Still, theres something i like in this one. It seems very organic, somehow. I'm happy with it.
