its nice.. and no doubt that its a still life, but here are some crits:

    - the perspective is off on the table.. as it receds into the background.. it looks tilted or something, like the objects should be leaning iver to the left.
    - even though you draw what you see.. try a bit more intensity with the pencil strokes. the lighting looks very 'bleached' in certain areas and not in others.. gotta be consistent. maybe trying different types of lighting will help.

    nice work - JAG

The banana is much more present in the colored version, which is good. I like how you've captured the shininess of the kettle/jug. The table's left edge still looks kind of weird--it shouldn't be quite so steep, I think. Quite good work! :]

@_@ holy smokes! man that is a HUGE improvement. great work hsn! damn that kettle looks magificent. the banana and table cloth look great, the apple seems a bit to intense with the red. maybe break it down a bit with some darker tones??

maybe a bit more intensity with the shadows around the edges of the kettle. excellent work. - JAG

This piece is really good! The reason I think its good are 1: The bannana, it looks pretty real 2: the cloth 3: The mass comparison towards metal (technologie) and organic objects...
