    What's your favourite trailer?

Ok no trailer park jokes ....hehe. So what's the cleverest, most amazing or funniest trailer that you have seen?

Here are two of mine... they're sort of related

People might think I'm crazy, but one of the all time fuck-yeah trailers I've ever seen was Strange Days

Also Sorcerer and Alien (though I can't find the original trailer online, only the compromised re-release)

    Thumbs up

its not retro, but i thought the first one from 300 was VERY very effective.
i cant remember anyone not getting hyped up and exited for that movie after watching it.
it also made me listen to NIN again = double combo

but Live Free or Die Hard hit me pretty hard. i remember actually shout 'fuck yeah!' when i watched it. Grindhouse and Casino Royale did it too. Oh and just yesterday i watched the trailer for the Bourne Ultimatum.. freakin awesome! im an action junkie. theres more but thats right off the top o' my head, gonna have to think about the best ones ever. - JAG

I hate to say it, but the original teaser (the one with the Thin Red Line music) for Pearl Harbor was pretty moving.

And yet, I couldn't even finish that pile o' crap.

There was one really dramatic one from The Passion, it really left an impression on me, much more so than the actual movie. It used "Running to the rain" from Peter Gabriel for music.

That's exactly what I thought, but everyone I work with was more concerned with how old Willis looks (yet they couldn't remember Moonlighting) so it was sort of deflating to be met with such a lack of enthusiasm! Personally, I can't wait to see it (or Grindhouse, for that matter - it's like a match made in heaven for me).

Has a trailer been released for Stephen King's The Mist been released Stateside yet? Man, I can't wait to move back.... KNB are handling the SFX, so that's definitely on my to-see list.

I think the best trailer I saw was a few years back, It started out really dark and suspensefull, then just as it was coming to a close you saw the sillouette of what looked like batmans head with the ears perked up. As the the head turned and the light came up, you heard and saw scooby doo, I almost fell of my seat laughing.
Remember that well, don't have a clue what movie I then watched. lol

Since the sequel is on the way (and is therefore kinda topical), I thought the trailer for the first Hulk movie was excellent - I loved the way it only showed his eye turning green after he stares at himself trembling in front of the mirror, and then it cuts to the whole side of the house bulging out before the bathroom sink goes flying towards the screen.....

Excellent - I hope the sequel turns out better than the first effort.

I loved the original trailer for "Aliens", the one with no dialogue, just weird atonal music.

    Edit- this one

Not exactly favourite but I recently can't stop watching the trailer for "The Witcher" computer game from my country. Maybe beacause it's based on the best fantasy book I've ever read.
The 3d sequences are made by Tomasz Bagiński. The creator of "The Cathedral".

Best thing about that movie was Skunk Anansie
I love that movie for so many reasons. I know it's cheesy as all hell at times, but it's still one of my absolute favorite pieces of cyberpunk (light though the touch may be)

    the original trailer for "Aliens"
I don't think I've seen that one before, but it's nearly perfect by my taste. It's actually really really similar to the Alien trailer which I lo-o-ove, including the same creepy noises (which I'm guessing is because they hadn't finished scoring Aliens when they released that teaser). Awesome sounds/music and fast bizarre visuals with no movie-guy voice makes a really great ad as far as I'm concerned. It gives you so much to think about, sparks your imagination

Found the original Alien trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gutk2iMYFTs

I swear man, the second minute of it is about the best thing I've ever seen on film. oh god yes.

also just ran across this one, makes me want to go put Robocop on right now actually...

    Man that Alien trailer rocks.

For me it's definitely the 300 trailer - I'm a big NIN fan and the visuals are jawdropping.

Game-wise, Halo 3's trailer really impressed my (think the first one released).

Also sad to say, White Noise's trailer was pretty damn good, too bad the actual film was a heap of crap.
