I must say that Conceptart.org's apr1l f00ls >>> Deviantart's apr1l f00ls. Mainly due to the fact that DA's 'joke' (subscription for help desk service) sounds way too plausible for DA...

Heh, it's sad really that Deviantart has become a joke amongst real artists. Seems as if you're the dumpsite for every idiot of the world with an artistic hair up his/her ass eventually you lose some credibility. Makes me appreciate CA.org all the more.

A vision of furry porn and myspace angle-photography on the front page of CA.org rushed through my mind. That was a scary feeling, goddammit! Good one, nonetheless.

    i know it's only a joke...
but it's not that funny to make fun of DeviantART...too easy
there are some talented artists down there....
and it's good that they are websites (any) for them to express themselves...
there is also a load of crap down there, but it's only related to humanity not deviantart....

Exactly, it's too easy to make fun of DeviantART. That's all part of the joke - it's about our reaction to DeviantART; not about DeviantART itself.

Just look at our reaction to what we see as much of the DeviantART 'type' in the Mankey thread.

    rofl at the banner.
i didn't even notice it at first

and yes, there's some damn good artists amongst all the crap over there - just a tip: never, ever, ever venture into the deviantart forums (esp. not the "complaints" section)-your faith in humanity will forever be destroyed.

Classic, almost made me spit out my morning tea, and that would have wasted some perfectly good brandy.

*sigh* you guys keep bashing on DA so much, soon they will gather a huge group of ass hats to post furiously on this board and ruin it. All it takes is loyal DA fans to do it...They are filled with pre teen and teen suburb spoiled brats with nothing better to do, and an ego up their ass. Oh the humanitY, when leet kiddies, furrys, wapanese, and emo kids take over...!
