    Deadpool

I have always wanted to do a Deadpool sculpt. I took some minor liberties with the character (adding wrinkles to his suit {I hate the painted on Superhero costume} and darkening the red {never got why a merc would wear bright red}) I did this entirely with sculpey, even the guns (freeze your sculpey, helps with angular sculpts) Hope you all enjoy the Merc with a Mouth as much as I do

I always dug Deadpool. He even makes those legwarmers look manly. I think this turned out great, though the feet look strangely small.

Hey there Gentlefood, one of the things I struggled with is what kind of build I wanted for him. Instead of going for hyper-realism or even charicaturization, I sort of mixed the two. His feet and legs are meant to be more thin, the idea being that his agility and speed (Ninja-like) would require a less stalky lower body body. His upper body I just wanted him to also look like a guy you would never get in a fistfight with so I exaggerated his forearms and hands. His feet are actually sized right on when compared to his head (which is what I use as a system of measurement) but his hands are a bit larger and more TFU, if you know what I'm saying. I tried making the feet bigger at one point to match the hands but they looked like clown shoes.

    re

very nice, one thing struck me as odd though...
he is holding a the sword with his right hand, but the would've been taken from the right side of the back and it appears the sword is the one from the left side since the right one is still in place...
it would've been pretty awkward for him to pull the sword from the opposite side, but maybe its just me

Yeah the clip is a bit long, it was meant to be stylized, but it may not translate as well as I had hoped.

Hehe. Cool. I like the blend of comic book hyper musculature with something that is more realistic.

Hi, loved the character and love your sculpt... if i had to say a bad thing about it i would be that maybe you darkened the red too much.
Btw great tip about freezing Sculpey.
