Hey Good job! You're improving steadily.
You should draw the eyes though
Now, about the latest study - it's good shading practice, but the construction isn't really good. I think you should focus more on understanding the skull when drawing faces. The face is skewed at the moment and the mouth is pushed too much to the side. I don't know if you use them, but I'll say it anyway - use construction lines. Define the positions of the face's major landmarks before putting in any details. Then always check to see if you're still following these guidelines.
Also, I think you should focus on linedrawings now. It'll help you clear up the construction issues much faster. Try to make a line only copy of the photo you've used as a reference. See what happens. It'll take a lot less time and that way you'll be able to do a lot more studies and thus - learn more. This doesn't mean you should stop using Photoshop and values, but I believe you would benefit if you focus on linedrawing and understanding construction.
When you're drawing a hand, or a face, or whatever, always think about its three dimensional shape. So when you draw a face a put in the centerline think about how it goes around the form in 3D. You'd be surprised how much easier things get once you get used to this.
And lastly - measure. Compare the distances between major landmarks in the subject you're drawing and in your drawing.
Anyway - as I've said you're progressing really good so, just draw a lot and have fun

Hoi matey! Yar been busy! Nice studies always good to do studies, I agree with what some of the peeps are saying. Like its good to do more referenced studies. I like to do some as warmup in the morning. its a good way to calibrate the eyes for a day of drawing.
Hope all is well mate!

Congratulations for your new tablet!!!Seems like Wacom has changed it´s logo...ummmm....is your tablet black?????My Intuos3 is grey.........I prefer yours!!!Hahahahaa
Ok,there is something wrong about your giant with the big bone...there is no bounced light from the body into the arms and from the arms or the ambiento into the body, thats why his arms blend into the background, which is not correct!

I'm impressed again! Good work! As monstertree pointed out, the improvement is noticeable.
About the caveman - one thing that's bugging me is the club being behind the loincloth. Not that it's not possible, but it doesn't make much sense for him to be holding the club between his legs instead of in front of them. Also, what Camara says is true - try to separate the figure from the background. Bounced light is a good idea. It really makes things pop out. Just do what you did with the lower part of the legs. BTW I love how you've rendered the hand with the club. Really nice!
Give some attention to the toes too. Right now the feet look cut off. Either that or it looks like he has hooves. Also - put some shadows cast from the "necklace". It'll help integrate it with the rest of the picture.
And lastly, try to be more consistent with the light source. I can't determine where the light is coming from now. Of course, it could just be me being stupid
Aaalsoo... the grumpy sheriff is great!
I'm really proud of your progress over the past few months. Keep doing studies and remember to use loose flowing lines. And just have fun with it

Im all good, slacking to much, but theres a cure!
Hope all is well and everythng!
So first, Is that black you used when shading the Oger with thw bone? Its a rookie mistake to shade with black. Look at things in your room. what color does everything get its color from? Put a red pencil on a white paper, what color does the shadow have? Slightly red.
Second look. Look at lighting. The lighting on the legs sugest a quite sharp light from both sides while on the torso the light comes from front and a bit above. The lighting on the neck puts light from behind him. I gets a bit messy and it would have a better mood and a more professional feel if you thought of this first.
Try to pin out the light source in the walue sketch, it helps bring out the shapes and set the mood.
Keep working mate!

Monstertree - thank you mate that means a lot!
Camara - hey buddy thank you,I messed up totally my caveman with some photoshop filters and other shits so I hate it anyway and yeah you're right
Windmaker - thank you my friend your comment is always welcome Thank you!
B-man - hey dude what's up ;P amm like I said I totally messed my caveman drawing with filters anddd that "black" what you and others see actually isn't black and that's because of my monitor I think - I have to calibrate it maybe
anyway here is a WIP for this month competiotion
(hope this time the colours gone looking fine)
