    robot char

    this is my First real attempt at makin a model i can fully animate with bones and IK in max4. I just completed a whole 30 frame walk cycle! what satisfaction. the still doesn't do it justice i don't think.

    congrats on the IK

    whats up dude! how hard after geting the basic understanding of Max4 is it to modle something like what you did?

    I been using this software since max2. I think I've become real good at "box modeling" which is what 90% of those objects started as.-even the hands and fingers. So i been modeling awhile, but modeling and animating are VERY difforent things. so i been self tuaght and doin it far and in between fer like 3 years. Experience helps, but artist's intuition is always most important! maybe I'll have some of that one day.
