Artist's Block - Work In Progress

Hello everyone. I've been on CA for a few days now, and have only commented on others' works. Now that I have a feel for this place, I thought I'd start out by posting a drawing that I began without any real desire for it. While trying to draw something else, I got very frustrated with myself because I couldn't get anything to look the way I wanted it to. Sooo.. instead of crumpling up the paper (which I sometimes do) I grabbed a new one and started sketching to take my mind off of the other picture.

This is the result of my artist's block.

I have no idea where I'm going with this, it wasn't a planned drawing at all.

Any ideas would be very helpful. I've recently left DeviantArt for this site because no one on DA is willing to offer any constructive advice. Hopefully I can get some here, so my change won't be in vain.

Well you can see the manga style in it
I think you should work on the arms the left one doesn't look quite right and with the right arm it looks like the shoulders too high up maybe move it down a little, and work on the hands a little.

    Good luke

the way the figure is cut off like that makes it look like you're trying to avoid drawing the feet and makes it look like the upper legs of the figure are too long compared to the lower ones. other than that just watch your proportions and anatomy (arm on the left really small, right arm out of its socket, ect.)

The drawing looks a little flat. You should think about basic shapes like cylinders when drawing the body to give it more volume.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

I know there are tons of problems with it, and I guess I labeled it wrong. I wasn't looking to finalize this really, I was just messing around.

And Dog_Dancing1: I'm not into anime or manga at all. So my style has nothing to do with that, as far as I'm concerned.

Give it some shades and / or color! correct the minor issues with proportion and pose (esp. the hands) and it will make for a very cute drawing! keep crit'in and drawin'!

It isn't cut off intentionally. I got to the end of the page and had no room. It wasn't even supposed to turn into an actual drawing. More of a doodle than anything.

Thank you very much. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with this or not, but if I do I'll fix it up first.
