    Thanks Dabaers!

Maybe this one is watching some other dinosaurs in airplanes? Who knows? I sure as hell don't.

    Final, nonetheless.

If you can't sleep you could as well draw. Started on a new version of a pic I made a year ago. Always fun to see how you've developed.

Garrett Hanna: Thanks! Yeah, I thought it was a bit different.
    Camara: Glad you like them!
Prophet: Haha, thanks, always happy to hear that people think I'm improving.
daveneale: Thanks dave! I'll try to make it. Guess it would be lonely without me there now, eh?
Bendragon: They do! However, imagine the disappointment if they taste like... fish.

It's been one crappy art-day. I've had tons of inspiration but for one reason or another I just can't seem to draw anything that doesn't look like catshit. Here's an update of the fishes, however.

Now I'm almost out of fruit-ideas.

Haha! Friggn awesome! Love you renderings!

Some of your human anatomy is a little weak, and it might pay off to do some studies.

But your stuff is very lively, and quite enjoyable.

Sublimus: Thanks! I was about to say kudos for actually finding any humans in here, but then I saw that there were more than I thought. Which isn't much anyway. But yeah, it's no secret that human anatomy is one of my bigger weaknesses. Why do you people think I stick to animals?

Seriously though. I've been planning to have a sort of 'human week' if you may, where I more or less force myself to draw a new human every day. Come to think about it I might as well do it this upcoming week, starting tomorrow.

    Booyah!

Thank you myjkolada, there'll be more soon I hope.

It's fun looking through your old computers. I found this old wallpaper I made back in 2003 or sumthin'. It's probably one of the first digital things I've ever made. I should do vectors again sometime.

And no, this probably wasn't a necessary post, but do you really care? Yeah? Shut up, kid.

    Man, I love the fruit fish background more than I should. That thing is so becoming my desktop for awhile, when you finish it. Hmm... just tossing some fish-fruit brainstorming out there;
Rambutan would make an interesting puffer, but I don't know that people would recognize it enough, since hardly anyone knows what it is. And aw crap, I just realized the orange is already a puffer, derrrr.

Well, a watermelon can be sliced lots of ways, to work out a fish that would fit it. (Angelfish? Mola mola?) And would have red/green to relate to the strawberryfish.

That's enough of my ill-conceived suggestions, anyway. I'm sure whatever you come up for the last one will be excellent. I just can't get over how much I love it so far; great textures and execution all around. This is the kinda stuff I came to this forum for- inspiration.

Sunwise: Glad you like them! I was actually thinking about doing a watermelon-slice in some way but couldn't decide on a good fish. Angelfish, however, could probably be perfect. I'll try it out! Thanks!

...aaaaand yet another fish. One spot left, probably. What could possibly fit in among the others?

    A plum, perhaps?

It's really workin' for me as is, I'm not too sure about adding more to the composition. But hey, composition schmomposition, I'm sure you can make it work, and I'd love to see more fruitfish just the same. Maybe some raspberries or other small fruit could turn into a few little fish, I dunno.
I love the piece muchly as is; anything else will just be icing on the cake.

Sunwise: I haven't really decided what to do with it, actually. I might just polish the fishes already in place a bit and call it a day, but we'll see.

And to prove that I'm taking my human week seriously I now present my very first (speed)painting from reference.

it's a fine sketchbook indeed. Those fruit fish are downright kickass. How 'bout an apple one? Or tomato, 'cause after all it's a fruit.

hey, it's great you're practicing what you're weak at... although the Phantom is weak in his anatomy, the portrait looks good. You would definitely benefit from photo reference of people/bodies... even if you just take pictures of yourself in different positions (or dressed up as the Phantom, even)

I love the fishes!! Do something unique, like a kiwi, or a star fruit... or even a bunch of grapes/cherries like a little school of them.

Keep it up... I'll check back.

metalpiss: Thank you. I might have done an apple, but I think I'll save some fruit if I decide to do another picture like this one.
BohemianChaos: Yeah, I've dreaded it for quite some time now, but I knew I had to start doing some studies one day or another. And thanks!
Mr.Delicious: Thanks dude! And no, I won't fulfil that fantasy of yours.

I decided not to add any more fishes as I'm happy with the composition as it is. Here's a fullsize wallpaper if anyone wants it.

I love the fish fruits, that's brilliant! Also very saleable, I can easily picture this on a box of cereal or a pack of fish-shaped fruit chews. Go sell that thing!
