    detour's sketchbook [time to learn!]

    +Name: Ryan
+Age: ...I'm in Highschool[there's good age range for ya.]

Always loved looking at art, but never really attempted it. So, it's time for me to learn. I am going to be primarily working on anatomy in this sketchbook. I picked up two Burne Hogarth books today: "Dynamic Anatomy" and "Dynamic Figure Drawing". I don't really like his style, kinda wish I would have gotten a Bridgman book...

C&C Always Wanted! Advice is more than welcome. I am complete, inexperienced newbie heh.[it'll be pretty obvious.]

[Also...I have NO god damn eraser!]

I got kinda lost as you can see...[i'ma go buy an eraser..]

and then he attempted to shade...don't think i'll be trying that again lol.

[Sorry for the shitty images, no scanner, just a camera]

So that's all I have right now, I'll update again when I wake up...

    Welcome to CA!
Nice clean lines. You seem to have a good grasp on anatomy. Although, I recommend something like Loomis for anatomy studies. Heard they're floating around the net. From what I've heard Burne is more about mass. Anyhow, nice studies Keep it up!

Ps. The mods want us to use the img manger instead of img-tags. Cheers

Eh, only two pics to update. I've been lazy, but I'm trying to stop lol . So tomorrow I promise to upload at least 7 images. AND...I still need to get an eraser.[pissing me off that i can't erase anything heh..kinda helps though, drawing a lot lighter than i usually do at first]

I tried finding some loomis pages online, and even downloading a pdf, but no success. So for now it's just Burne..err
