    No Grave But The Sea

This is my first post ever, and I have to say I a bit intimidated by all the awsome work I'm seeing from other people. Nevertheless all critisims are welcomed and definitely valued. Thanks for looking!

Yes, I like this. He is an excellent salty old sea dog. It's making me want to say 'Arrrr!' a lot. I like the way you handled the speech bubble - sensitivley done. It doesn't detract from the overall comp.

Is this digital or traditional media?

Thanks to everyone who has commented so far, I really appreciate the feedback! Ming 64, as for your question about the medium, for the most part it's traditional oil paint with additional digital painting and tweeking. Thanks for asking!

Just a quick point, his nose really needs to be softened up.
How you made the bridge of the nose and nostrils look complete seperate from the flesh around is a big no-no.

Wow. I'm liking this. I feel like I want to hear the rest of his chilling tale, down in a pub by the sea!

thats very cool, and sea captains are the best! I dig the different fonts in the bubble, and the touches of blue in the b/g helps it. Good job!

Father Christmas will mess you up.
