    Adam McWaters: Sketchbook

Hello, all. I'm Adam, and I have decided to start up a sketchbook to get the ball rolling on a new portfolio. I have a few fun exercises in mind that I hope people can get in to. These will help me roll out new stuff to actually build the portfolio off of.

But first, I'll kick it off by adding a few previous works in various stages of finality.

Now, here's the plan of attack. I have been noticing various art job requirements, at least in the game industry, that are interesting. For concepts, they require the ability to take a description and then make something out of it... Yes, I know that's obvious, but I'm getting to my point.

Behold! My point: I have done that a lot over my time, and would like to do more, and actually log the original description. This will help bring some new ideas to the table, and also see how well I can work with other people's description process. Exciting!

The exercise: I am looking for 3-5 text descriptions, as detailed or loose as you'd like, which I will take and draw. Then post back here, and the person who gave the description can reply with "yes," "no," or "add/edit here and there." In which case I will make the edit(s) and hopefully come up with some new material to show off.

Anyway, I hope you guys get into it. I'll be, of course, posting new sketches here as well, but I'm pretty excited to get into being more organized about my art, and improving.

    Have at it!

    Crits, hmm.

Is it just me or does the arm on that last character look really long?

I`m loving that red armour, nice fresh design.
