Lewis: Thanks One day I might actually finish that yes...

Davi: Indeed pretty much inspired by that movie I guess. Here's some more animal stuff I did at the zoo the other day, and I might do some more soon. I enjoyed doing them.

Ekler: Yep that's where the topic came from

Fragmentedchimp: Much to learn in that area still, but thanks.

MattGamer: I forgot, but it was a cool topic. Might've been Slash who came up with it.

Here's some sketches I did this sunday at the Zoo in Rotterdam. I was there together with Merlin and Teh Gosu, was cool to see them outside CA Had fun doing the sketches, I think I'll go there more often.

I might have to figure out a better way to approach it though, as some animals tend to move about quite a bit which makes finishing a sketch kinda hard. I need to apply a bit more technique I suspect, as some of these sketches are kind of hit and run. Working with pencils might be a first, but the paper in my current SB isn't really receptive for that medium. Anyway, here they are:

Yo dude. It was nice meeting you. Love the sketches. Got to post my zoo sketches as well, although they are not as good as yours.

    Koshime: Meuuh

    GusTheRobot: Thanks man.

Merlin: Hey mate, great meeting you too. Had fun at the zoo, can't wait to see your stuff.

Some speedpaints I did yesterday and this morning. Just messing around with colors. The first one is half an hour, the last one an hour and a half I think. It still lacks some in depth, I should establish that first next time before going into details

The water one is nice! I like the beautiful colors mixed in with the autumn theme. I like the way you suggested the roots out of the ground with black really isn't bringing your foreground up. Still a lovely, twisted tree. I'd play on it.

    yoo guido,

nice updates. its kinda weird i've just seen you draw those animals, now i see them here ;P they look good man good job. im to much of a coward to upload mine, they really suck haha.. your comment about my bad proportions, really kicked my butt. thanks! that was just what i needed haha i'm practicing life drawing last couple of days, i feel i get more of a grasp at nailing proportions.

your speedpaints are pretty nice, but i really think you can improve here.. i think your colors in general are too saturated. and you should try getting an atmosperic effect by having less value in the background. also be aware more of the big 'black and white' composition. i would advise drawing some landscapes from photoref or something.. just try to match colors... really fun.

    see ya around
