Your stuff is looking pretty solid overall. Couple facial features are placed a little off. But good work man, loving the intensity and dedication.

this is for this weeks Chow Well I am not clever enough to be really humorous, so I figured I would make my guy ridiculous, as that can be humorous. He has a lot of attitude and confidence for a guy who in no way could be traveling as he is.

This last enviro is quite nice, The colors and detail is all working.
I think the only thing holding it back is all the shapes are similar in size and number, and everything is competing for attention, and nothing is standing out as the focal point.

The stalagmites from the bottom aren't very clear, i don't know if they are close up or far away or how the guy in the center would get around the hallway.

Here are a couple speed paints, and a Quick w.i.p of the c.o.w. "Time Bender" I know on the one speedpaint the perspective was jacked, but I feel a decent base was set to work from. It is an establishing shot for the story the boy who cried wolf, that was the topic selected by some friends of mine for our speed paint session.

I like the blue slime cow better too, probably cuz it's blue on green instead of green on green.

On This current cow It's harder to read the creature, I'm not 100% certain whether it's got stringy limbs or manta ray type wings, or where it's bones or muscles are. Kudos for picking a hard angle and making something out of it but I think your last cow trumps this one just due to the fact that we get a clearer look at the creature.

other than that man just keep on keeping on, and maybe try and take more of these good starts to a finished/nearly finished level, I think there's unrealized potential in some of these. just my $00.02

Jonny5 - Thanks ur crits deffinatly helped me out here, it was hard, and I didn't spend the time I needed to on it. Looking over it now, it is not as strong as it should be. And I will keep your re-visiting suggestion in mind.

here is a small 3d update, more like a sneak peak hehe. What I have here is a redo of that outlander I have been working on. The concept is still pretty much the same, But i re-topologized it, re-sculpted it, and I am adding all those things I wanted to have in the first place. Here is a sneak peak of what I have donw, The next time I post it, I hope it to be done.

Hey, joe this is travis helenihi, i started a sketchbook of my own, so you know what that means, but since im hear now i can give some c/c of my own...I like how economical your lines are getting, and the creature with the zebra stripes on his leg has core shadows which work very well. I think the digital head studies could be stronger with a stronger silouhette, they feel too similar. well later

tph301 - Glad you finally joined man!!! Good seeing you at school the other day to. I will have to stop by your book hehe. Thanks for the crits man, yeah I am really trying to work on my pencils and take my time, no rush you know? And I agree, it's just such an odd thing trying to get photoshop to do what a pencil does. I shall keep on trying though.

FactorZero- Good to see you man, you have been a ghost. Thanks dude. We need to get together and sketch soon.

themissinglink - Yeah those are deffinatly things I need to work on. Thanks for the crits, I will be keeping them in mind for my next paints

That character at the top is looking good. Only critique right now is he seems to be floating on top of the background, rather than meshing with it seemlessly. Try to connect him more with the background. Yea, we need to get a sketch group together again.

factorZero - Hey man, sorry I haven't gotten back to you in awhile I graduate next quarter (hopefully) and I am trying desperatly to finish all my stuff and Have more than just w.i.ps haha. Anyway I agree, even jsut a slight hint of a shadow would ground him better

In the meantime here is a w.i.p. of the sidekick done in mudbox, got a lot more to do, but he is coming along hopefully him and the outlander will be done soon....

The last monster and sculpting work is amazing. I like the surface variety on your painting, he looks like hes one heavy sob. It doesnt look like the perspective on his feet are matching up yet, and its too bad that his arms dont play a larger role in his silhouette....but I love it. Good work all around, let me know if you have any suggestions on my stuff

Jakers - Thanks man! Yeah the feet were a pain in the butt, Plus i get lazy toward teh bottom of my paintings for some reason, I need to stop doing that Anyway I will check your stuff out when I get a chance,

I am taking the one I call "smiley" all the way haha, started his ortho, here is the front view, I have the side drawn out and need to finish that and the back. Fun times. I fixed some design issues that were making him a bit too unfunctional, will be posting more. Comments and crits welcome!
