I've made some of this stuff before. It's fun.
I imagine it'd be pretty easy to drown in a deep pool of it, though.

Actually, as it was shown in the vid, the guy floated quite easily in it. Even on the mythbusters when they tried to make quicksand, they proved that when falling in a pool of a liquid more dense than water, you'll be exceptionally boyant. Only problem with this stuff is you'll have a hard time moving around quickly.

I want to see them do a "divebomb" into it.

Jamen jag tror att han skäms, och har gömt sig. Vårt universum det är en av dom otaliga spermasatser som Herren i sin självhärliga ensamhet har runkat fram för å besudla intet.

You know they're researching this stuff for reactive body armor kind of like the shield Paul Atreides wore in Dune.

Researching? I thought they already developed it using a type of glass can't remember the name, maybe "liquid armour" will turn something up?

My theory was that if someone somehow sunk to the bottom of a deep pool of this stuff, if they tried to swim out, the liquid would thicken up around them and make it very difficult to get out, especially if they panicked. But if you're right about that buoyancy business, and I'm sure you are, it would be dang hard to even get into that sort of situation. So never mind.
