DSG 1212: Sci-Fi/Fantasy: THE EFFECTS OF THE CRYSTALLIZING RAY ARE DRAMATIC

    [ This one's pretty open-ended. ]

    [ I don't think further expounding holds merit. ]

[ Just make something that fits. ]

Dramatic made me think of a showgirl. Also I've been doing a lot of work for haircare lately!

I got downright lazy at the bottom. My idea was it's still dramatic 40 years after the incident with the crystallizing ray

    Here be the sketch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v505/Skally/.jpg

Burnt Umber- Really digging those crystals for how fast you painted it!

Estrata- Woah, crazy hair! Wish I had one of those things, nice concept

Divorce- Haha, cute...that would totally bum me out too. Digging the rendering you got done so far, on the skin

Sunny- Nice! Looks like that REALLY smarts. (but he should be able to heal up soon...well maybe)

Okay, another pic I spent way too long on. Learning to render crystals...

hey divorse, i like your character start but to tell you the truth i see a lot more potential in your drawing than painting. my suggestion for your development would be to stick to coloring your drawings for now, after you get that down start painting on top of those colored drawings. Here is a (hopefully) helpful jpg i made for u.

We learn that Silentbrain really has something against tanks.

Ashton, really like yours, but the anatomy of the of the shoulders of the figure in the foreground bothers me.

    refrakt, very nice.

Thanx Rex, I actually have never heard the word dynamism, i had to look it up haha. But thanx a lot

Interesting idea silentbrain, To tell you the truth Im still trying to figure out exactly what is going on, But i do like the colors and style. The Winnabego in the background is cool and the pulse coming from the top is great.

I really dig your style refrakt. Thats incredible. It looks like something off the cartoon network. nice work.

Keep up all the good work everyone!

I'm amazed by the quality of these pieces. I'm new and I honestly thought this was just a quick sketch activity. I WAS WRONG. My next one wont be as slap dash.

    Kudos to you all.

burntumbder it is a quick sketch activity. But some people spend more time than others on their sketches. The idea is that you do it daily. It helps you progress in your skill set.
