good looking figures you have going here and just a question does learning the full skeleton of the body help you with drawing figures like with what postions the figure is in?

Loads of natural ability. Really good.

What can I say, but keep on going.

DanielC: Thanks and it's a pleasure, I love your work.

    Zombie_dla: Thanks

Momus: glad you think so :]

    inouye: thanks! I will!

    oddjob: cheers

OmertA: Learning the skeleton is essential to understanding the figure. The skeleton is the framework for the muscles, and I'm sure you understand the importance of muscles. Also, the points on the figure where the skeleton is close to the surface of the skin are very important. It also does help alot with understanding position and pose.

    JPW: thanks

I've just gotten home from my piano exam.. I'm glad that's over. I don't have to override drawing time/etc with piano practice.. I will still practice and try to improve, but no more exams/grades to force my hand.

    Here's a small update :]

Dusted off my wacom (literally, there was tons of dust on it ) and did this quickly.. 15 minutes or so from imagination.. not much of a post, but it's something different!

Good studies <> throw away your mech. pencil <> not enough contrast <> really like that you are doing studies visualizing the skeleton within the flesh.

5 Bones <> still need some votes to show up.

Here's another speedy done before bed.. good fun, but I have a loooong way to go .. Also, my monitor is screwy, it has really bright and greenish blacks, so it probably looks way different to everyone else.. I wonder if anyone still fixes CRTs

I'll have an update with pencil stuff from school in a couple days

you´ve got some nice pencils and good anatomy studies.
you could use a some more contrast in some of the pencils.

So I always thought that the scanner my dad has sucks, but I tried it a bit more today and after fiddling with settings got the results to be quite decent. So whoop.. no more laaaame photos

So here's a few bits of shizam

Decided to do longer drawings on better paper.. Although this paper turned out to be way too rough for my liking, though I do like the tone. 3 days so far on this, I think I might put a little more time onto it then call it done

I think these were a couple 10 minutes.. sad I know

6 or 7 minute poses.. I'm trying to be cleaner and more confident when I put down the outlines..

I really like your shorter-timed figured drawings. Very cool geeomtric look to them with the straight lines.

tensai: yeah, the photo sucks. I've got a scan of a portion of that one here, still looks pretty different to the real thing though

    molotov_billy: thanks :]

    ____

on that same paper... the focus of this was form and structure. 3 days

done in about an hour and a half :/

really hard to scan this folder, because it's way bigger than the scanner.. I couldn't be bothered doing multiple scans so this is a crop of the image posted a couple posts back. It's also had some more work done on it. Finished now

This was a fun excercise. I'd like it if they did it more often. 10 minutes each..

All these studies are showing your considerable abilities most impressively. The back study in post#50 is really quite nice. The back for me is particularly intriguing. You can see your hand is sensitive to subtle vlue changes.
    Good stuff!
