Awesome work man, I love the quality of your paintings and the colors. Very vibrant and expressive to the characters, especially that COW entry, cool design and colors.

jermonster - Thanks! I still think my colours are a little *too* vibrant, working on getting a nice balance still.

    Sublimus - Thank you!

    Peter Berkovski - Cheers

Alm0st - Thank you. Of course I don't mind, not sure what there is to learn from them though!

I'm still plodding on with my personal book project, and I've had an injection of enthusiasm for it recently. I've attempted the first panel of the first page again.
The first pic is the old version, the second is the new - what do people think?
Been redesigning the main character too, still a little way to go but I'm more satisfied with it for the time being than I was with the old stuff The last is just a doodle that got a little out of control - god knows what it is

Giorge - Cheers, He's still a work in progress but I'm pleased so far.

D@niel - Thanks for coming to look, I really appreciate the encouragement (even if there were no crits )

Jacky-Boy - Cheers mate, nice to see more people from the UK too

Josef K. - Thank you, thank you kind sir! You're too kind!

    Hone - Thank you.

Yet more redesigning going on. I prefer this version, more scope for dynamic clothing and a stronger sillhouette I feel.

princessbunny99 - Thanks, glad you like the sketchbook

More work on my book. The design of this will no doubt be refined more later on, but I'm relatively happy with it for the time being.

The fish creature is awesome! Makes me think of a cross between a coelacanth and a poison dart frog.

Really good originallity and creative stuff.

The dragon/creature in post 331 has some good potential, I would like to see that one in some scenery getting up to or involved with some story in the way that it does... yes.

Fumble - Thank you very much

Chromosome - Great to see you around here again! Cheers for stopping by the sketchbook. Thanks for the encouraging words, he's a creature for a personal project - so for you to think he's got load of character really makes me feel good

Here's a little practice, nothing special.

I love the change of color from the shadow under his hat to the light areas of his face. His nose looks almost slimy, though - I think some texture might help with that.

Cacodaemonia - Glad you like. Maybe he has a really bad cold? Heheheh probably went a little too far with the specular

    Josef K. - Thanks mate, I'll try!

Been in such a slump, slump=frustration=further into a slump etc. Keep trying to force something out, almost for the sake of it - ridiculous really. Having given art a break for a few days, I decided to relax and just have fun with it today. Some pretty crappy stuff came out, but I didn't feel too bad about it. I guess that's the first step out of a slump?
Also listening to Bobby Chiu's words of wisdom really got me motivated today, so I guess I owe him a thank-you!
A little playing around before hittin' the hay, pretty poop but what the hell.

    MacTire - Thank you!

Reformatted the computer today....photoshop is so easy to use now! No weird slow chugging brushes, it just 'feels' so much better to paint with Noodling with ideas for the book.

Oh yeah, let me know if the colours are all weird on this - having a little difficulty with colour profiles.
