Peter Stapleton - Thanks for the kind words. That page took me about a day (on and off) so I think it would be do-able, thing is I'm not that pleased with it so I may give it another go soon.

Chromosome - you kidding me?!?! I'd give my right leg to paint like you!

Peter Berkovski - heh thanks, Atlantik right? The name change threw me but I thought I recognised the avatar

The first grasp I thought it was 3D generated image, gorgeous lighting and depth. And also there are always elements of story-telling in your work, can't wait to see more!!

It should always be bore in one's mind that he must be responsible for his life........

Wow! Love all yer fishies and sea creatures.

    Very enjoyable and well done!

I haven't tried my hand at them and may give that a go my-own-self.

UnSharpened - Yeah, really thinking about form and depth lately - glad some hints of it are showing through.

Camara - cheers mate, glad you liked it

Jephyr X - heh, I think sea creatures are my default doodle brainset.

    chuck18mp - Thank you!

Here's a speedie from a photo, wanted to try my hand at rendering my own version, learnt a few bits and pieces from it.

Pad&pencil - thanks, don't plan on working on the Naruto any more - I was only messing about.

Here's a plan for a paper toy I'm gonna make in the next couple of days - just gotta plan out how he's gonna fit together, then I can get painting. Then you guys can download him, print him off and give assembling him a go if you like

Ah I've missed CA! Not been here in a few months, partially because I've been swamped and partially because I thought it'd be a good idea to not look at other people's work and focus on what I'm doing for a bit.
Gonna start the ball rolling with a few bits and pieces lying around the desktop, I'll post the paper Shogun toy for people to download soon - just tweaking some assembly at the moment
It's good to be back, I hope people still vaguely remember me round these parts?

hey nice sb you got here, i like your style a lot. you have a good grasp on the human form and colors but i think you should enhance your values a bit more to help give more contrast and depth to the images. other than that just keep on trucking, and keep continue posting.

thesadpencil - Yeah, always working towards getting the images to pop - not got it down yet!

algenpfleger - Thanks! Not quite as confident as I'd like...yet

Working on top secret game stuff today, so not much to show apart from a knackered sketch, quite like it though.

Hiya, haven't dropped by your sketchbook in a while, loving the updates!! The sea creatures especially, your sense of light is very intelligent. It really makes the work come to life in a lot of them.

_Acidburn_ - Thanks for the kind words

katinki - Yeah I saw the feet, kept coming out huge and chunky though so I left em. Not finished the paper toy yet, hehe bloody thing!

    Chermilla - thanks!

irliekninjaz - Glad you liked it, it was only a doodle though.

Peter Berkovski - Thought so glad you remember who I am after all that time!

The colours didn't come out at all like I wanted on this, but nevermind.

Hey Guys, have a free present - a downloadable paper toy!

This zip contains the PDF of the toy (all ready to print onto some thick paper or card) as well as some assembly instructions. The toy will only be available until Thursday so be sure to download it before then: Paper Shogun (Right Click, Save as).
Also another experiment, photo ref used.
