I had some internet problems the last few weeks, si I had not participated in any of the latest activities, but count me in for this one! Aztecs were for the most part in central america... nazca was more of the incas. and in my land, it was the chibchas who used to live here. in this link you´ll find the famous sculpture made by the aztecs, of a "man operating a spaceship with a pillar of fire behind him". Hope it helps in someway.. http://kschnee.xepher.net/Aztec%20Spaceship.jpg

So influenced by, does that mean we can draw Chewbacca with a souvenir Aztec calendar? Or Spaceman Spiff! Yeah, Spiff rules!!!! This'll be fun.

Rough comp with some 3D stuff I had lying around. Somehow I find it easier to do sketches in 3D. A more finished concept is underway.

CHOW #62 - Guest Host: oishiiniku. Topic: Aztec Space Traveller

OK, it's done, though not as well as I'd like it. The paint's still wet, so I had to shoot it with my wife's digital camera. Be gentle, I haven't worked in oils for years ( I think the next one of these is going to be in gouache).

    This should be it.

People thought he litteraly came out of the sun, but he was just passing trough on his way to another galaxy.
A lot of people died as an offer for him. He never knew, maybe when he's on his way back and hopefully stops by again, we can explain what happenend.

clear how is the this guy moves, just as
a quick explanation the character suit its designed
to function on a low gravity environment, and to

    Hey guys, heres mine ^_^

    CHOW 62 - Aztec Spaceman

It is common held history that the decline of the Aztec civilisation was tied with the decline of their corn crops multiplied by the threat of the Spanish. While this is true, it was not the real reason of the once mighty civilisation.

The aztecs had infact been in contact with their Gods, a supreem race from beyond the stars. Taking their offer, the entire Aztec civilisation had gone to a new homeworld beyond the stars.

Hundreds of years later, and the blood thirsty nation has once again begun to collapse, and this time it is their society which is to blame.

    crits please ^_^

    man! cakeypigdog, thats just insane!

i really hope i´m able to finish mine....it´s not even close to be finished yet

the main idea is, that the aztec space traveller is a highly developed shaman who uses the two nature spirits two protect him from any outer influences and guide him through space, his own spirit which serves as "engine" determines how fast he is travelling.
