I began to post in this forum as studioniten but, as I have some silly problem with my password and now I have two diferents ID, I´ll continue posting under Badaboom´s nickname, and I´ll begin with this old sketches. Hope you´ll like them.
Sketch above was the first step of my Manticore´s idea, next ones are steps two and three. If you look closely to the small drawings all around the pages, you´ll see how many options I considered during the process.
I do like indeed, very cool stuff you have here.....and excellent penmanship may I add, keep posting up .
wow really nice sketches mate
Why are you so good at creature design. I love it. Very inspiring, would like to see some more creature sketches. And also some character design for some personal prjects if you have them. Kee up the good work.
Hi again, thank you all for the replies.
-G-SPOT: remember, black ink pen is our friend, it´ll never fail! It´s a very good tol once you´re used to it.
-KEMICAL: thanks they´re actually quite old, about two years now, but I still like them. I´m too sensible with these old drawings...Hehehe.
-ENVISOR: don´t worry dude, I have lots more to be posted and I´m currently trying to draw more, or as much as my job allows me to. Iwant to work as concpet artist, goddamit!
-CHAOTICKNIGHT: thanks dude. I´m not so familiar with the Warcraft world, but I think I remember the Worgs. Yeah, never realize the simmilar looking til now, mmmh...Will try to post some more finished ones (I need to paint them anyway).
The point with this Manticore thing was to make it "possible", I mean, design it in a way which would allow it to move if it was made out of flesh, BUT the Manti is supposed to fly. There´s no living being (not between the big animals, like mammals) with 4 limbs and 2 wings. You can have 4 legs, or 2 legs and 2 wings, but not al together, it would be a muscular chaos! So then, I had to find a way to get where I wanted, and I fuond it thanks to the....SQUIRRELS!
All right, here you have more, though again not so new stuff. Last year I made a book about creature creation and all these drawings belong to the studies I made for the book. Unfortunately, the book isn´t translated to English yet, but it will, it will...
Some more random stuff, some drawings I did for fun some years ago, but which I actually like a lot. Specially like the fat cyclop, he looks so dump*
*Small update: I change the image for a slightly bigger one.

Wow, those first drawings you posted of the manticore are really awesome, I liked how you played around with a few ideas. You've got some really nice concepts with that minotaur guy and the cyclops also. Keep posting.
And the new post of the day:some other old sketches of animal/men mixes, trying poses and so on. It was the beginning of something much more ugly.
I promised to make some color ones, and I´m slowly working on it. I´m a beginner with PS and digital art, so I´m working so slow and just when I have some spare time, but I like the results so far. This is the first step, I´ll post the following ones as soon as I made´em. Awaiting your crits dudes!
cool man, like your pencil work...keep posting.
Sorry dudes, I posted two times the same pic, so now I edited the post with a couple of new ones. Well, same bunch of drawings I did long ago, but I still like. Hope you´ll like them too, and all crits are welcome! Thanks for the replies!

hot damn - you made a really good SB here
love the pencils, and the design of the creatures!
& I'm throwing stars
SB. p31 updated 25.04.2012.
Cool stuff - the cyclops is my favorite from these last updates, definitely, but the painting is looking hot, as well.
If I can offer a suggestion, I think pushing more of these into states of completion would really boost your improvement rate. Even push some of them past completion; run them into the ground, and see what you learn.
Will be back!
-Envisor: yeah man, the fat gut is so lovely. It remembers be one of my friends, kinda Obelix, isn´t it?
-Pyroclam: thanks dude, the making of of a creature is always the best part. If you look close you´ll the the evolution from hyean to wolf, to lion, crazy sick lion, rotten lion, radioactive lion, post-nuclear rabbit, and so on.
-JoeEffect: thanks mate. I will, I will...
-DAn Liimatta: thanks dude. Btw, are you Finish? You nickname sounds so Fin! What does it mean SB?
-Atlantis: hi again dude. "Even push some of them past completion; run them into the ground, and see what you learn.">>What do exactly mean?
wow I love your drawing style! Very nice character,I think very dynamic and expressive.
Keep more update, ciao
The same study, one step further. Gottago dudes, basketball waiting!
Let´s post something more. Nothing special, but I want to keep this post warm, otherwise the enormous amount of works posted every day will relegate my own to page 7 in just some days! And I want to feed you more and more, your comments are a great motivation for me to keep working.
Late at night here in Spain, too late to continue struggling against my warm bed´s siren call. Here you have this, slightly pushed forward. Comments welcome, as always.
Love how this painting is turning out. Needs to be more dark tho, because the creature kinda looks like it would run around at night time rather than in the day. Cant wait to see it finished.
-Blaz: thanks dude, I´m still working on it, trying to get something interesting. I have some problems with the enviroment though, I´m not so used to paint backgrounds.
-Designboot: Ahoj kamarad! Jak to jde? Mas rád muj kresbý? Nice to see you sneaking around in this post, how is tha Albesila project going?
-Envisor: hi again dude. Yeah, I´m still trying to figure out how the background will be, and a darker one would be also good. Let´s see what comes out.
-Atlantis: ah, so then it was easier than I thought. I have spent much more time working on when to stop than on when to push forward, but now I NEED to make some detailed works til the end, and this one is one of the first. That´s a big difference between "Fine Arts" and Illustration, or they say.
Thank you all for the replies.
More updates, and more catmen! I love cats, lions and all felines, so when I made that book I mentioned before, a man/feline mix was nothing surprising. I personally like a lot the concepts, and the drawings are not bad (though I should make some new and more finished ones).
