    Just a Handful of Bean

Here's the start of my sketchbook. I was a 3D environment artist at Sony for 3 years and now I'm testing out the conceptual design waters. I'm taking side classes at Gnomon. Crits and ideas are welcome. Let me know what's right and wrong, likes and dislikes. Thanks and I'm sure it's gonna get pretty random in here.

Yep. Nice designs. The dude blowing away the corner of the paper really, really works. My only crit would be the headgear. If I were a space marine, I'd at least want a bicycle helmet, but the armor does indeed look great.

Hey man, these are really awesome. I especially like the stuff you drew in your last post, the page with all the characters on it. The underwater gun is pretty sweet too. Great job, keep posting.

N1va, thanks, I've been working as a 3d environment artist for 3 years so I've probably learned thru osmosis of looking at 3D models, everything I do is an accident

Designboot, yeah I gotta keep painting in photoshop. practice practice practice.

More randomness. They all started as pencil drawings then onto photoshop.

This stuff is all looking really good. All I can suggest is maybe some edge quality on some of the stuff. The edges are a little blurry, like on the mech stuff sharper edges would make things pop more. But like I said very nice.

good stuff, love the design and lines - though for the digipaints you should look into some more colour studies

though I really like your mech/armor colours, and that mad-max buggie is hot

    Anyway lovely stuff/SB.

good shit here. lets see some female characters! Get rid of that grey space on the left of your webpage home. Everything else looks good. My site is no better, does not work well with ie6. www.nicholasmcgowan.com
