Nice sketches, the cat is looking really sweet.
Just keep on drawing and posting, your lines will get more confident automatically.

    keep it on

    Just a quick update-

This was my base sketch for my Maquette. Obviosly things changed and so on, but it was only a rough sketch of the form and pose ect...

Eh sorry guys, I havent been updating much ...
Been busy as hell. Got finals soon and I'm alredy working on them.
Mainly including my Maquette final (I'm working on 3 seperate maquettes) and my Intro 3d final. Those two take the most out of me heh.

Anyway I have a small update - This is a sketch I'm working on that I will post later on with color when I progress.

    Hooray for sketchyness.

quality skills! u seem to have a nice mix of painting sculpting and mad creature design skills all in 1. Yeah the usual advice i give is the usual anatomy studies, although creature anatomy studies may be a lil more suitable for u to further support the abominationary themed creature designs u have an affinity for.

Well done my man, good luck to u !

Why do u stick your nose in other families business'. Come on dude don't u have any HOBBIES?

My sketchbook beckons, ave a look see?

    Haha thanks!
Yeah I try and study anatomy as much as possible when I have time these days.
Infact thats one of the things I've done for quite a long time haha.
Should be interesting though because in a few weeks I will start my next Quarter and I'm taking some classes that will greatly help with that.
Taking Figure drawing and Animal Anatomy - so I'll defenetly post some of that up!

It's been a while and I've been neglecting thiks thread (aaarrghhh) sorry!

But anyway school just started 2 weeks ago and I'm doing a lot at the moment. However

Here are some quick 1-2 minute (mostly 1 - the momevent ones where mostly 2) Figure Gesures that I did in class.
(I'm very sorry for the quality, I used my laptop's camera and it wasn't to great. Oh well sorry!)

Anyway these breakup into 3 things we did.

The first is just quick gestures:
    Name: Photo 24.jpg
Views: 86
Size: 160.8 KB
    Name: Photo 26.jpg
Views: 83
Size: 166.7 KB

Size: 169.0 KB
    Name: Photo 28.jpg
Views: 83
Size: 150.2 KB

The second is quick gestures from memory of the model's quick poses:
    Name: Photo 31.jpg
Views: 81
Size: 151.3 KB
    Name: Photo 32.jpg
Views: 91
Size: 147.3 KB
    Name: Photo 34.jpg
Views: 82
Size: 125.1 KB

The third was quick gestures showing movement (model moved throughout the gestures - 3 different poses- Each has 1 point in each pose where it has not changed in any pose - for example one of the feet):
    Name: Photo 35.jpg
Views: 88
Size: 148.5 KB
    Name: Photo 36.jpg
Views: 92
Size: 161.1 KB
    Name: Photo 37.jpg
Views: 82
Size: 168.2 KB

We had to basically do these timed gestures and express the muslces more than on the model - so we had to in a way exaggerate the muscles, hoever we where only trying to gesture the basic figure and place the points of some of the bones/muscles - no detailing. Done in Charcoal and conte (movement)

I will be posting more later (lets hope) and I also have an animal anatomy class I'm working on that will be a full sketchbook of animal gestures and so on (yay) so expect some more posts!

    - Nelo
