    ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
The competition is open to anybody, regardless of age or work experience. However, judging will take both these elements into consideration. DesignerTechniques would also like to point out that we particularly encourage entries from those of you studying, or aiming to study, car design.

    THE BRIEF
When someone mentions the word travel, there are many thoughts that can come to mind. Car journeys, flights, trips by boat, bus tours and rail travel. In the (hopefully not too distant) future however it is very likely that space travel will join this list. Space tourism is already a concept that many companies are taking seriously. The brief for this competition has been written with this new form of travel and leisure activity in mind.

Imagine that you have travelled to the moon with four other lucky tourists. You arrive on the moon, which is still very empty, and now you and your four travel companions have six hours spare time. What are you going to do, and what kind of vehicle are you going to do it in? In other words, it is your job to design a moon recreation vehicle. In keeping with the theme of Scott Robertson's new books, one of the great prizes on offer, the vehicle you design may be a land based one (with wheels/tracks/skids etc.), or may be an air based one (with jets/wings etc.). The kind of vehicle and the exact nature of its purpose is up to you. It could be a tour bus, a fast racer, a ground survey vehicle.......anything. The brief is deliberately very open, the important thing is you apply to some creative thought to the concept and its design.

    That is some amazing inspiration!

It borders on intimidation too! I can't wait to show my students that link.

    Thanks!
