good updates B! keep working on the contrast, still reading gray in your paints.
I adore your character concepts, they're nicely drawn and colored.
I'm amazed at how many poses studies you do O:!
Your sketchbook is such an inspiration.
chrisc: Ah life drawing, sometimes painful but very important. ^^
Kaffinated: Sorry for the lack of updates this week, I've been pretty bogged down with layout at school this week. I will of course show off my final film when it is done but as you see . . . we haven't even started animating yet.
Amazing Action Ape: One day will combine characters and backgrounds, one day . . . ^^ Or in my film.
Tooled: I will, I wish I had more time to paint.
Lunatic_Strife: Thank you very much.
Updates for this week: Some random sketchbook pages and some watercolor face studies. Blarg, I am hoping I will find more time this week to draw non school things.
YES! thanks for some eye crack.
I especially like the water colors. You have some great control and usage of color is awesome!
The SB pages are a great as always. The plant thing you have in the 2nd page look interesting.
bhanu: Thank you ^^.
Kaffinated: That plant thing is based on this weird bonsai I saw on the way to school.
Alright for this post I wanted to see if this worked at all. This is a linetest from school, very rough, just keys and breakdowns with no settles yet. I will see about getting the current animatic up.
[Edit] Ok here is the animatic instead. And super crap. Stupid compression.

Wowee! I'm really loving the style you have going on, dude That water colour on the top right is especially beautiful--its interesting to have that splash of red tossed in
Digging the watercolours, but I do find them to be a little muddy. It might be the penline seeping into the colour. Do you draw the person in pen first and then add paint? If so try the opposite. Then just add pen lines where you see fit.
Cant wait to see the final film, the animatic looks pretty cool.
oh man, i love each and every picture of your sketchbook! *subscribed*
The watercolor backgrounds are really beautiful.
I also always enjoy your sketches =)
OMGOSH!!!!! I LOVE Your style....it's AMAZING... I really like your take on Miyuzaki's (sry if I spelt it wrong my Japanese is rusty) spirited away. Thank you for stopping by my SB. I will get to those life drawing classes, I guess I get caught up in the "typical" or "popular media oriented" ideal of pretty since I do a Lot of fashion stuff. I do want to change the concept and what people think is beautiful. Especially since it forces so many people to want to change who they are and what look like just so they can fit into that stereotype. However, I guess in order to change that I need to have a firm grasp of what true beauty is... I am getting my butt to a life drawing class. Again thank you.
I luv the last one!
My Sketchbook [ACTUALLY UPDATED!]
I have 800 posts
Amazing sketchbook i really like the silly sketches, well done and thanks for the comment
Thanks for your comment! I really love the way you do your gesture drawings. It's simplistic and beautiful. Also, I've always liked the style of ink and watercolor you use in your illustrations. You're wonderful.
A sage in training . . Not always so Sage-like
The Sketches of a Young Sage
Oh my gosh! Your watercolor (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1220290961) is beautiful! I don't know how you keep it so clean.. o_o;;
And those little bunnies are so fun to look at, haha. And I'm totally digging how loose your figure drawings are, and how you manage to keep your own style in there!
I looove your fantasy works and style 3
nice work! love the final fantasy piece! the studies are great too
