Huge improvement from the beginning I must say!
Those head studies are pretty good!
    Watch out for the proportions!

I have a big problem with proportions. In my model figure classes i tend to memorise the pose, get it correctly by seeing the relations between head, elbow, belly, legs, but if the model changes pose i cant relate the correct proportions. The same with muscles, i know the shape of a determined pose, but i dont understand (yet) : ) its behavior. I guess i should learn the canones?

    Red face One Thousand hands

Thats right, this was my last week drawing extra-homework to present next day, i got up to 360 hands, and let me tell you, i learn a lot, improved a lot, see the first scan illustrates the first 20 hands, drawn by memory, impancience and no reference whatsoever. Than i got the Burne Hogarth - "Drawing Dynamic Hands" tried to understand anatomy, and from scan 3, 4 ( about 200 hand drawing) till 360 ( the last one) i drew my hand only. Still there are many erros of proportion that i only realised a day or two after.

wow, insane crosshatching or as i prefer to call it ..thatching(cos of the straw on thachted roofs) your pencil work is realy great, you manage to cram in quite alot of colour and texture variation with just your pencil, all i can do is draw then shade lol(badly). but overall your work is realy rough and grity apart from those head studies which were pretty good by the way.you also like you said you use mainly dodge and burn tools you could use the smude tool then dodge over it can leave a smooth and clean mash of colour.

    KEEP UP GOOD WORK

Hi, nice drawings!, i like those hands too, why not do portraits to help you with proportions?, and lighting, and why not to do some still life, or put some clothes on a chair and draw that with a nice strategically placed lightsource to get nice shadows and halftones, thats the way to get better i think. Keep posting!.
