It went through many more revisions and versions than I care to post. The one I picked as the final is heavily influenced by sleep deprivation. I have unposted versions with much clearer display of the anatomy and such.

My learning process, and (hopefully) COW Entry.

Learned a lot from studying whiteeeeeee (jumpstarted my journey into creature anatomy) and Cannibalcandy (rendering, lighting technique inspiration), as well as several other artists and liiiiife.

Also, if you wanna throw down the cash, I suggest The Weatherly Guide to Drawing Animals -- Its a great first step into animal drawing. Helps you atleast begin to grasp the difference between human and general animal anatomy.

Learn from as many sources as you can! Jump around! [from source to source] -- Once ya get some rigid, stiff, unsatisfactory foundations, do the smart thing: Draw from LIFE.

Yo rushwolf I like the Bounistraz, nice work. I'm glad you started another sketchbook, keep adding to it doesn't really have to be daily. Try uploading your images to CA instead of hosting them yourself I find this makes posting a bit faster ie: less steps.

dude, your first 2 have great technique the elephant has a real 3d look to it and the your pic with what looks like a emo guy in a mask with stiched mouth is cool too, then that glue maker process was sweet maybe less shadow? alot of the rear end is lost in darkness that is only on the version you enterd realy the one you have here as ur final is fine . nice work keep it up dude

Really nice to see your process on the COW there. Really wish there was a bit more contrast/easier to see details, the hard work kinda disappears into mistyness for me.... Might be my eyes being tired, but still.

And I also really like the elephant. I'm a sucker for elephants, heh.

Magnificent creature design! I also like that delicate way You deal with muscles and shadows. Some sharpen, more detailed areas here and there could do good, just to different some more important spots. Keep up
