Flaskpost: Hehe, annoying aren't they? I mean, sure, doing gestures and fast stuff is super fun but once in a while I'd like to have a longer pose. Thanks! They were really easy to do, I just put down some masking tape and when crazy in the park.
Mystery: Hey thanks, how's the movie coming along?
    Zerocoolzz: rofl, thanks mate

    Hey dude.

I loved your DEEP entries, especially for COW. Very nice.

Massive improvements, no doubt. You're hitting the colours hard.

If I had to critique something, I would say strive for more form and volume in your drawings.

    Peace out.

Saw your work via DEEP. Love it all. Really great environment stuff. Quite exquisite. My only critique is that some of your figures and faces seem to lack structure on occasion...just kind mishmash. Like HunterKiller said, form and volume. Keep it up you've got some fine trees in here! And I'll be seeing more of them in the future. *bookmarks thread*

    King Kobra: Thanks mate !

Huntah Killah: Thanks for the kind words. You're right about form and volume. There's so much to learn and so little time!

Sketcheth: thanks yeah I should, and will, pay more attention to the anatomy.

    Sanxavier: Thank you

Zweidee: Thank you Zwei, retrospectively I have no idea what I was thinking when I drew it, c'mon a samurai on the bottom of the sea?! Yeah, that'll work!

    Pharaoh x 2 : Hehe thanks ;D

    here's a quicky.

yes got to agree. your environments are awesome totally love the first underwaterscene in post 217 and the grassy hills a few pics below.
do you mind sharing a few of your secrets? did you start with a texture in the first one? great, saved all of them for inspirational purpose.

    Mattinian: Yo thanks mate!

Monotony: hehe, I usueally start out with a few values like the one I have attached below. Then I jump right into it using colours or start making a monochrome image, like the dragon. The first one was just really an overpaint of a rock I saw in the park, normally I don't do overpaints but for image I found such a cool reference that I couldn't resist
So I saw this rock and was fascinated by it, I thought; Wow, that stone formation could just aswell be ten miles wide. And so I shot a photo and just slapped some colour on. Here's the photo I used as a base.
    http://www..wasker.com/reference_1.jpg

So I did this speedpaint, I'm not sure if it reads well or not. My compositional idea was to have most blocks of value pointing to the darkest area of the image

I am fascinated -- do you finish out these works or use them for ref? I looked at your site and think you should finish out some of these speeds and beef up your finished work section! Your work is amazing and an inspiration to me-- looks like on the finished piece with the huge forklift you did both - speed and finish, it looks amazing

    KellyX: Hey Kelly, thanks,
yeah I use them for a abit of both actually, I do these scribbles all the time, both digitally and in my sketchbook. Later, if I need it, I can have my sketchbook open and try to emulate the 'feeling' of a certain drawing I like. The tree sketches are examples of reference sketching. And yes, I should finish up my sketches I have on my homepage but you know.. once I've gotten an idea down that is readable, if only to myself, I get bored quickly and want to start on some other idea that was spawned in the process.

Flaskpost: haha, tackar och bugar. The oil, was fun and relaxing to do. I had been struggling with painting a flower right for like 3 hours and I hadnt got anywhere near a finished sketch to I just said to myself; fuckit I'm gonna do a speedpainting instead. And so I did.

    Donalfall: Thank you, sir!

Here's the dragon from the previous posts, I tried to finish him up but, meh.
