. You are funny. Of course it is a good thing to spark any emotion in your viewer.
And when robot looks like he is functioning on his own and has a personality that makes a wonderful story, I think. It will make this robot the only robot for me in the whole world .
Read " The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry? Now I will see your character with a long nose in objects around me. Very catchy silhouette you know...
He has somethings simpleminded in his pose and gesture. He looks like he is bragging too with his long Pinocchio nose. You see, how it works? Pinocchio was first, earlier and he has sort of patent to be remembered whenever any long nose mentioned.
Robot a Boaster, Robot Pinocchio . I think it's great.

And the second picture was remarkable for me too because i can relate to this human emotion in the scene you painted. When someone wakes up sweating and with his heart beating rapidly because the recurring nightmare visits him again. His secret he hides from everyone, his shame.
Great body language of the main character. yes, he is a heap of metal and doesn't have a heart. But I liked the story.
White exclamation signs spoiled it a bit though.
