themissinglink:thanks. i agree, the colors arent all that. i need more contrast. i did everything without the eyedropper, so that explains bad colors. eyedropper is cheating of course so i dont do that.
B-Man: ooh man, i dont hate gay people... at least some of them (geer en goor) just kiddin. i understand what your saying and it wasnt my intention. it was just that i was painting my drawing for fun, and i was playing with colors when suddenly i got pink clouds. then instantly this phrase popped in my mind and thats why i got that down... gay is mostly related with pink flashy colors so thats why i got the connection between gay and the pink clouds of pollution... well, next time i wont use the 'g' word anymore i guess lol
    Blaz: thanks man.
    FlameDragon: thanks
Osmus: thanks. i'll check that one out.
Rudeone:hey rudy, thanks man, yeah i want to get better as fast as possible... and there's one way to do that: draw as much as possible. the course is pretty nice indeed. they really learn about anatomical details and stuff (dont like that part actually, i dont see the point in tiny tiny details on all boneparts) and all classes we do 2minute poses... thats really helpfull. the teacher really learns to think big, not getting into details.. yeah sure, lets have a beer really soon

here some environment studies. both reffed. i want to get better at enviros... really focusing on getting proportions right, drawing the big picture first, then getting into secundary shapes, then into details..

sorry bout the hand studies, will update soon. cya

    some quick rendering excersise

No: thanks marleen, i'll check your sb soon.
killermachine: hey thanks, i think santa is a fat bastard, obviously fatter then... anyone
    Doolittle: thanks man

first a quick excersise, will finish the fat dude later. playing with layer options in ps. and playing with contrasts and texture of paper. but most of all im really focussing on turning the form and stressing planes.
second one is homework of previous week. its about muscles on the torso and stuff.

Ive heard that expression befor in a "homophobic" way so I guess I get the wrong wibe from it. As I said I asumed that you didnt mean it as that and Im glad to get the confirmation.
Lovle update. One thing though, My laptop tend to make all the images I view to light but for some reason yours seem very dark... It might just be me but if not try and give em more light.
Ill be back with more valid crit when I have the time!
    Take care!

    Blue Disciple: thanks mate!

here some digitals.. because lately the only medium i use drawing is pencil and paper, i was curious to test drawing on the wacom.. i find it pretty hard to get used to still. especially to get certain line really 'down' the way you want to. any tips? i'm expirimenting with my lines. did some thumbs based on silhouette for fun. no ref used for anatomy, training my memory

Dude your workin harder than me lately...life is takin over! Good progress...the new lines are very controled, you can see a lot of confidence in them. Are you going to do anything like isolate the characters in that color piece, or just leave them as one sheet?

i really like the environment sketches you have, they're really simple but very descriptive at the same time, i love it. where do you get the ideas for them? or does it just come from your creative brain? keep it up, hope to see more

Wow, your progress is inspiring! Keep up the good work, but stop avoiding hands and feet would you?!

On second thought, focus on what ever you want, it seems to be paying off for you.

    Doolittle: thanks mate!
    Lyno: wow man, thanks!

well, this is a big load took me a while to scan this. its a selection of all little drawings i thought worthy of posting. some are very very quick thumbs, because lately i like to think more of design and good silhouettes. just quick and (most importantly) fun

the 2 last environments are from a nature book inspired. i changed the composition a bit so it looks better.

The CA crew is adding server space or something like that and by some reason the forums bug a bit because of that.
    It'll be fixed soon, hopefully.

    Hey Gosu...

    Your improvement is incredible!
    it truly is inspiring.

About those images, use the little paper clip icon up next to the smiley face icon and click on the pictures to attach them into your text post.. when you click it a little drop down menu will come down with all the images you attached with the attachment manager, if you edit your post you might have to click (go to advanced) on the bottom of the post to be able to see the little paper clip icon, click on each of the pictures in the drop down menu under the paper clip icon and it will insert a little text code into your message, that is where you picture will show up.

    Take care man.

I'm amazed by the progression shown in your sketchbook. Really nice work Gosu! You've got really nice flowing lines with your figures, I've love to see some of them shaded/coloured up. Cool value/colour studies too, I also love doing those.
    More please :-)
