From the 2 versions I like this one better: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1205631365

Also in your robot the closeup shot shows more details and since the Robot is skinny it works better as an image for me.

Great progress through this SB, keep up!

sweet sb. man. i really like your concepts. the worker robot is badass. and the study from no country is sick. (one of my fav. movies) i really like your lineart as well. keep it up.

Your pushing yourself more and more which is nice to see. sorry I haven't been here in a while!

I think contrast can be pushed a bit more here and there - with your recent robot, the fact that all the shadows are about the same value makes it much more flat...the cast shadow across the torso should get lighter as the shape itself is greatly affected by the light from different angles. It might be a style thing but concentrate of shadow variation as well.

I start to love your work more and more, the fluid and painterly style is awesome. The latest post and the girl in #284 appeals me most, the way you depict those masses shows how well you know them. Great job.

Wow man! You've been damn busy here!
I gotta say you're improving enormously.. I really like how your digital painting skills are coming along, sometimes, like on this one, you get slightly too soft, some hard edges would work nicely there, like on the cheeks and nose. I really really enjoyed your last three updates.. Damn nice work! The abstract piece could be a nice organic enviro, I think it can get really interesting if you add some different colours to it. Maybe just get a new layer set to colour and just try some things.

Okay, so I don't really have much to crit here. Just wanna say that this book is more and more a feast for the eye ^^
Congrats on the non profit job, I hope you learn a lot
    Love,
    Marleen.

Hey Jelle! Was cool meeting you last week You better post those sketches you made...

I totally like your pencil character work, but you need to work on the digital side a bit more. Especially watch those edges and try out some different brushes, the soft ones are cool for blending but often give an out of focus feel when used to much. Also, composition could use some work on those last abstract things. They feel a little too random right now (though that might be what you're going for.

Hi my friend! Very impressive SB! I have been watching it since the first to the last page and spotted pretty good ideas and designs! Keep the good work and do some more serious arm muscle studies! Wish you luck!
