Really digging that first one. How did you go about creating it?

I started with a simple sphere in a 3D program called modo. I pushed and pulled it untill I got a basic shape that I liked and then I added some random spiky extrusions. i lit it with an area light which gives a nice soft look. I also did some brushing in photoshop to brake up the cg look.

I love the second image beyond everything. Makes me think of The Neverhood for some reason. Any particular inspiration for these?

It's not a grasshopper..it's just a random shape that kinda looked to me like a bird....so I gave it the name "bird of pray"

I really wanna either touch the first one, or hit someone with it. Depending on where I am... heh...

The second one, for some reason, makes me think of a 1950's toaster growing all metallic like. Yeah...

    Anyway, cool stuff
Look, you know what I mean. You take a bunch of people who don’t seem any different from you or me, but when you add them all together you get this sort of huge raving maniac with national borders and an anthem.
