im working on just gesso'd paper in a normal sketch book.

lol man over two weeks since my last update.. and well second.. BUT i have been working in it every day. its just the scanner is sooo far away, its so much easier to just keep drawing..

well high lights from the last 2 weeks.

still not really happy with it but i think its the white.

just messing around with a calligraphy pen really. theres one section where its really tight and i like the look of it.

composition sketch for an art history project.

a more detailed design for said project. it got kinda cramped at the bottom...]

and some studies. i lost a page with ears and noses and lips but ill try and find them and up load them soon.

    crits and comments are appreciated.

moving up to the arms now

these are old ( not too old, few post back) but i lost them so here they are.

    just doing what i do.

just a spine.. dont bother wiht the scribbles at the top you'll never decipher it (writing on a bouncing bus is hard but i know what it says.)

started as a skull but was boring so i threw some pixie dust on it.

    crits and comments are welcome.

I'm really loving your anatomy and hand studies, they are freaking awesome.
Also, the two "Trying something new pieces" are insane.

    Please keep updating!

thanks man, yeah i got that from the gorillaz, always sounded like "want to be free". im sure if you were controlled by a hand up your ass you would feel the same .

im working on some character designs for a class project. i think im going to do a technologically advanced, war driven race and a more native-American, scavenger influenced race. (in not calling native Americans scavengers btw, im not sure if it came out that way)

nothing on the designs is final right now, just messing around till i can get a few models for the under drawing ( they have to be from life)

That octopus with the antlers (octolope?) is great. The forms in these last drawings are a lot more solid than in your earlier work. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to more.
