    self-teaching problem...

    dear all...

    one of my friends is very talanted he draw very well. but he afraid of not finding job because he is a self-taught artist not from an academy or a school. does he have a chance to work in this field or he must be a certified person from a college or institute to work in this field? thanks for co-operation

    There are tons upon tons of self-taught artists.

    For artists there is no need for a degree unless you want to teach.

    Look up the name Marko Djurdjevic. A very popular self-taught artist around here has had some of the most major clients you can get.

    The problem could also be the presentation of the portfolio. An unprofessional portfolio, or a portfolio focusing on the wrongs things will hurt you for sure.

    Maybe the person also just is'nt ready yet. It might help us to see the person's portfolio, because at this point the problem could be a number of any different things.

    Degrees wont mean shit if you're good. If you suck a degree wont help you at all.

    Simple as that.
