    schlichte's sketchbook update enviro 3.31.08

been looking around here for the past few months decided to finally post some sketches, first one anatomy study second one started as a male turned into a lady (that is why the nose is kind of jacked) any feedback would be grately appreciated.

you have a good start here. At least you know placement. Learn some anatomy, and get your proportions right. Your drawing will look better in no time!

I agree with Tigermilk about the studies. Thanks for stopping by my sb. I don't think that I will make it to the Italy workshop, no moneys.... but who knows maybe.

Ok anatomical studies. If you want some constructive critisizm, all you need to do is ask. Keep on drawing!

cool studies, good ol' hogarth, I would look at some Bridgeman, it's more understandable than "bubbling" everything out. Keep drawing man, you got a lot of potential.

Interesting stuff you have here. Good to see your doing studies, post #5 stands out to me. I think you should develop this more, see what you can come with. Wasn't sure if you had any idea in mind, or was just sketching in PS, but I see some huge and strange rock like robot or creature walking through a barren waste land. I want to see more stuff plz... keep updating.

Hey man, great to meet someone that goes to the same college too hehehe and thanks for stopping by my SB.
What I see is strong in here, are your vehicle designs, you can tell the usual industrial design style in them. Just keep doing your anatomy studies and you will see a lot of improvement. The point with those is that knowing that proportion and structure is SO important when coming to anatomy. Faces is good example just draw any of the parts a little bit off and you will see it make the whole face look different than what it really is.

With that, don't be afraid of using references, they are so useful because you can draw things for what they are instead for what we think they are. Right now referring to your sketches, both faces have the same problem, the space between the ear and eye should be wider.

Anyways, hope this doesn't sound offensive, but useful. Just keep at it!
