    please tell me where I am lacking

    Hi all.

    I have started drawing from 7 months. My drawing was very poor , you can say kid kind of drawing..

    so i tried to improve it... here is my work..

    please tell me where i should improve .. how to improve??

    please help.

    keep it up! at this stage i can say that you should go more into anatomy and just keep it up!

    Hmmmm.....well yes you need to study anatomy but the biggest tips i can give you at this point is to work from within the figure of whatever ur drawing, outlines will get u no where because i can tell your stuff is done in ountlines, keep it loose and rough at first, make sure everything is down correctly then go in and take the lines heavier. Also outlinining like that makes it look flat, vary your line weight and use value to define areas instead of lines. good u posted, keep drawing and update us..

    Yep. I'd have to agree more with Gasmask's advice -- I don't think anatomy should be your next major focus. What you need to do right now is work on developing form and volume; your drawings look flat right now, which occurs when you use the "silhouetting" contour approach. Stop!
