    feng?

    www.blizzard.com

blizzard has a new project, called ghost its looks awesome, i cant wait for its release.

the reason for the topic is this: check out the artwork on the page .. there is some familiar style going on there. notice the little "to scale dude" standing next to the bridge. i thought i read somewhere feng was teaching .. on his site i think, he isnt doing conceptual artwork for blizzard is he?

-if its all true .. feng is one lucky bastard.

speaking of feng, does he post here?
what is his name if he does?

Jason Manley the Master of Suspense!!!

    Killing:
To my understanding from his site. Feng works freelance and at blur studios. Working at Blur IMHO would be far better than Blizzard!!! Both would be cool, but my god Blur Studios is the best.

I do not think feng works at blur any longer...they posted his position in the job section of this site.

    and...

post a doug chiang up and you will see the same thing....james zhang has hundreds of marker drawings that look like that stuff too.

Feng is completely fluent in the Industrial Design marker techniques...there are others using the same techniques as they are standard fare in the industry.

I would be surprised if that was fengs though...because fengs perspective is usually flawless...the bridge has some odd perspective going on that feng has under control..

You're certainly right about that, mr. J. I wouldn't dare walking on it :p
And...about Blizzard...I wouldn't want to work there...at least not if they keep making those games. The art department may be another thing (they're "pretty good" at it...), but I'm not an artist, so why should I care about that?
I could go on talking about why I don't like Blizzard's games, but I'll shut up instead.

"ALL" ? I'm too caught up in maths logic right now...shouldn't it be something like..."at least one good artist is from Japan" ? Because we do know that some good artists aren't from Japan...haha :p

    Wink i'm here!

    Hey everyone,

I'm still lurking around this forum....i try to check it every so often when i get the chance.

No, i didn't do those Blizzard drawings. I'm not sure who did those. I believe that game is out-sourced to another studio, so probably someone from that studio instead of an-house bliz guy. Very nice marker sketches. I just recently saw them myself.

Sorry for not posting around here more often...i just don't have anything that can be publicly shown.

I've left Blur about 2 month ago. I'm currently working at another studio. Things are going well. Btw, if you are looking for a gig...Blur is hiring. It's a cool place to work! I didn't leave Blur because of the company....but rather the for the project i'm currently on. So apply there...it's fun work!

    Okie...see you guys around..
