looks good davi! i agree with idiot apathy about the depth thing, the mountain sihouettes in the background might be a bit too dark imo

The enviroments look pretty good, although I agree with Idiot Apathy that they could do with more depth.

Yeah try softening up the edges as you fade further into the background and see how that looks, it might work, or it might just come out fuzzy.

Keep up the daily updates man.

yeah the foreground could use some darker shadows and those mountains should be a little lighter. I checked those pictures and I agree he is playing with the digitally before posting them, but still the darkest spot in the background isn't as dark as the darkest spot up front. Might be worth checking with the colordropper and put those two next to each other.

i should probably use different references than this photographers work, im seeing some of what you guys are saying but his images are insanely "bold"

http://www.lonelywolf.pl/galeria/ is the site im using, im in the norway section atm.

if you guys can drop me some decent links to do some studies from it would be great.

This last one looks awsome and the textures are great! However I think it could do with a more dramatic background its such a dramatic beast and the background is so soft and cuddly (maybe I have a weird taste in backgrounds) But it should be more dark and creapy or maybe bloody and messy. Other than that I find it most inspiering!

that makes total sense, i rarely enjoy doing backgrounds with creature design though, so i need to figure out an easier process to do them and make sure they do not hurt the piece.

I'd like to see more of the same effort of the monster drawings as in your environment studies.

Looks like the workshop was good for you, I think you're def. levelling up.
