thanks, Kamikazebob! Means alot from you!
Decided to put some more time into the flaming heads after waking up and seeing how crap the version before was
Nice job Davi!!
I check (almost) all the updates here but this one got me posting!
I love the juicy colors!! Painter, i guess!?
Toshop sucks abit at mixing colors but i suck a bit at using Painter so...
Yeah, yeah i know
10,000,959 posts!! Hehe u gotta be pretty talkative too!
(no clear idea what it means, just saw a few people writting "cheers" at the bottom o'their post and since i never know what to write there...)
Nice ones Davi, that self-portrait looks pretty interesting.
As far as these flaming head guys go... the guy in the foreground has a really dead look in his eyes. The guy in the very back makes me laugh when I see him lol. I don't know about everyone else, but my eye gets dragged straight to the second one, which his proportions unfortunately look kind of alien.
Anyway... time to go to work
Thats not me man! :p
Hahah Nice self portrait Hahah keep up the good work

O.K now let`s ROCK
workin' hard on the deep designs i see. Keep up the great work, this sp needs to be a 5.
I have been busy lately due to some freelance work and downloading the SPORE creature creator... I'll be sure to post my favorite creatures from that in here later.
But Mike Corriero and I had the idea of doing a painting out of a creature each other made in spore.
This is the youtube video of mike's creature: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RQNGilh3Qi8&watch_response
This is my Work in Progress of my illustration of it.

Fucking awesome bro.. Love the colors and the various changes made. As mentioned, I'd love to see some of those beautiful colors on the ground hinted in the black portion of the creatures body (like gasoline/rainbow)...
Looking great so far, I'll have to choose one of yours and get off my lazy ass
thanks guys, heres the final
thanks, There's a major problem with me on the back leg and i don't know how to fix it. It's not anatomy, its not placement.. It's standing out in a way i don't want. I don't know if i need to pull it out from the background more to get what i want or push it even further back. I've been been good with painting things in a "subtle" manner...
Here are some of my spore creatures that I like
"Dark Sectilant bug"
"Lesser Soul Lord"
By the way,I see that you are using some parts for the creatures that I can´t find in my demo version.Do you have the complete game?Is it out yet?
I really like that final image. I'm just not so sure of the background around the rear leg. the shadows on the ground behind the leg seem to make it look a bit flat. I think the values in the background behind that rear leg are too light as well. It really does look fantastic though. love the colours.
thanks guys, ill be putting that leg crit into action, I'm sure there are other ways i could of handled the back leg by removing other ways of focus.
I've been a bit out of my art groove, this was an attempt in getting back into it with a slightly different method of painting.... Not my favorite piece, but sometimes the ones I don't like the most are the ones others do... so, i might aswell post it instead of leaving it rot :p
dunno, maybe i just burnout on working the details and wanted to play around with something more "loose".
comments and opinions always welcome!
man, you made an epic spore creature
concept! spore is more inspiring that i though
it would be.
dang you for making me download moar than
nice lizard concept as well. really love the good
values in it and bright colors. and practice in
photoshop more! i see some promise there.
Really down on my art lately, don't even feel like pushing this at all, so ill just stop.
Hey davi. David's always told me to break my drawings... really push the pose to something you wouldn't normally do.. I think you might be familiar with Feerik's work? I'd say take a gander at his stuff and really try pushing this last one, as it feels a bit stiff. The one above is pretty cool though. You put quite a bit of thought into the armor, and it looks very intelligently designed relative to.. well, most of the stuff around here. If you've got some free time I'd love to thunderdome you, a nice friendly scrimmage or something. btw... 5 stars... 4 stars is injustice.

Justin. maybe later i would be up for that, but... this week i feel really fucking shitty about all the art I've done.
Here's an hour long piece i did on ventrilo. Mike Corriero and i did little thunder-dome of a cattle-like creature on an alien planet.
le sigh.... just not my week.
Man, I love that fish guy up there... that definitely gets saved into the art folder lol. The coloring style is really cool, it almost has a video game concept art look.
Hope you get through your slump... because if you haven't noticed already, your art is amazing lol.
Oh... and WOOHOO, new page ;p
