Great pencils Sir! And I love your use of muted colors with those touches of reds in that dualwielding girl. Wicked style too! Five stars from me yay!

Strong post, july15th. I like the rythm and colours in the flying chick, you could've skipped the skull in the bubble, but atleast you included panties :> so that evens the score. good job mate.

Wasker: hehe cheers mate, thanks a lot.

Here's something i've been working on for a little while.
It's a retouch of a sketch I posted here earlier that i want to turn into a sort of modern day depiction of the japanese goddess Benzaiten, the goddess of everything that flows (water, speech, music, fine art etc.)
I'm thinking about giving her two full sleeve Irezumi tats with a water and dragon or sea serpent theme.
I'm not really sure about the Hokusai wave on the Les Paul.
Anyways there's something seriously bugging me about this piece, but I can't really put my finger on it, though I think her left arm and hand holding the guitar is pretty fucked up. Maybe her head is too small?...
Comments and crit would be very much appreciated!

Looks like her left arm's just too small. I don't see anything wrong with her head, but maybe that's just me ;lkajh;lkasjd;fldb ._.
    much love.

Why doesn't the goddess of all things that flows have long flowing hair? And why isn't she really tall, slender and almost lanky with pointed features, slim fingers and long nails and such?

Good job on the Les Paul, but it's missing the strap bolts, and I doubt this girl could hold that guitar up with just her left hand in that position considering my LP weighs 12 pounds and 85% of it is in the body...

The wave sort of clashes on the LP, maybe changing it to a Japanese flag sort of idea may work better, the red dot with radiating array, or something else to that effect, or maybe it's just the lack of color everywhere else is what makes it look wonky as it is...

Definitely going to be interesting to see how this one turns out. Keep chipping away at it... there's something great underneath, I can feel it.

Only the heart intrinsically noble can succeed...

    Nubb: cheers mate!
a la bapsi: yup that's it, thanks!
IanE: thank you very much! those are some excellent pointers/suggestions! As you can see in this new update I went for long hair, though I still kinda like the short hair, kinda have a thing for that
I haven't gotten to painting the strap bolts and strap itself, it will def be in there. Hehe yeah there's no way she could hold the guitar that way, I guess not even the strongest man on the planet could pull that off.
algenpfleger: thanks man, that's nice to know. I've actually saved quite some stuff from you as well. I really need to comment your SB sometime
liam.c: thank you good point. I was about to paint her right arm in front of the guitar, holding a guitar pick in her hand, we'll see. Apart from that I think the short arm was bugging me, still not really to my liking at the moment but I think it will look better once the sleeves are done.

I thought it would be cool to give her the white geisha face, she kinda looks like a KISS band member now haha.
I like how the sleeves are turning out.

Those tats on the second version of that guita girl pick look a little heavy. and maybe they'll seem more credible if you give them a bluer tone?

hey rudy, i'd give her a strap for the guitar. i searched some pics for suggestions of her hand position, because i think her left hand is weird.

just a suggestion how it would look more natural:

anyway, nice going with that goddess piece, and we should reallly see that movie

    cya!

    Thank you very much guys!

Alright, so I really disliked the shirt/top whatever. Tried some different shit like various dresses and tees, but it sucked so I decided to paint her nekkid...I kinda like it
I went back to the short hairstyle cause I felt it suited her better, but that's just a personal preference I guess. I dunno maybe I'll go back to the long hair eventually.
The cast shadow is misplaced...ugh been looking at it too much.

turned out lovely......... im really wondering if she's wearing underware haha. i think the cast shadow would be behind her, because she is lit from front above
i am wondering why her left (our right) arm is black, is it a tatoo? i think her right arm has a very cool tatoo, but i feel her left arm is competing for attention now. maybe it would be stronger to leave it blank skin.

god luck dude, this week we'll make time for the movie

Time for a well overdue update, damn has it been over 2 months already?!

The blonde girl is a concept for the main character of a graphic novel I've been wanting to do for ages.
