    Distant Scetches

Second attempt at making a scetch thread. Just thought it got a bad start. Starting with two scetches I did today. Basically just a character concept (some weird family) and a concept for a service chopper.

You're first pic is very nice....shows a lot of character, a solid knowledge of anatomy and a good imagination.

The Helicopter looks a bit smashed up and it's not reading to well as a 3d object though. I'd suggest smother, more aerodynamic lines for an airborne concept.

What medium did you do the last one in?

Thank you for the kind replies folks. Appreciate it much

    mull77,
yeah, I guess, but note that the concept in question is a lifting chopper. Therefore, I was looking for a heavy and strong design, with such features as the 'claw-fin's on the front to stabilise it when lifting beams and stuff for sjyscraper construction. but I see your argument and I agree that I shouldve kept that more in mind when making the design, as a even a lifting chopper should be able to get a decent speed.

I used PS for the chopper, some basic brush (the normal round ones) and coffee stain brushes to achieve texture in the fog.

Envisor , what do you mean by SB?

Update: a doodle of woman head, done with only basic brush and high edge opacity.

Where are the sketches from sunday? Good tech designs! Remember that even if you're doing 'em straight from the side, describe the form... like... if it's a cylinder, it's almost a gradient if the light strikes from above... you know? But the designs look good!
