    Photo Realistic Illustrations

Some of my photoreal work. (EDIT-NOT..i am aware they are not photoreal. it was a joke. an awful, terrible joke.) Could you tell the difference between a pic? Anyway, here's some concepts....obviously in a style. what do you think?

Darned! Maybe I should have my morning coffee before I try to think! Sarcasm and neo-quasi-faux-realism aside, I think they're charming. Very reminiscent of vintage cartoonery.

Wait, wait, wait... so now you're saying they're not photo realistic?

    This is way too confusing.

    Cute, but confusing.

(Are UPA the guys who did the Pink Panther, because the first is very reminiscent of the style?)

i said photo realistic because they aren't and i thought it would be funny. like when you see a real saint bernard of a woman and say she's a hot chick....screw it i'm changing the title....didn't know this would be so difficult...hehe. unless you're being sarcastic too.

I think the Pink Panther was MGM..but that style is a common trend in 50's advertising/cartoons. UPA did things like Mister Magoo and Gerald McBoingBoing.

    Facetious

Ah... I still think they look closer to the Pink Panther (very hip).

dude, i'm sure there is summin in the rules saying you can't take a photo an claim it was painted by hand!

This should be in photos, not here. ok?

But proper cc now. Nice style, I love the sratchyness of the in particular. The only thing I don't like is on the first where there is flesh on the far side that just fades out. I dont really know what you could do about that though

some more...the one is the beginning of a new redesign for my webpage. It won't be used as an enter page...people I've asked don't like those.

wow, i'm getting some serious childhood flashbacks! UPA and early DePatie/Freleng for sure, a few other cartoonists whose names have leaked out of my brain pan over the decades. solidly stylistic, unrepentantly retro, love 'em.

btw, do you know a quirky video game came out in the past few years, Psychonauts? i think you'd like the design of that game a lot.

    Continuity Break -- my sketchbook

    Shameless plugs!
Kata femme -- a 3D model WIP, now updated!
The Giordano Gambit -- Barsoomian Zingball at its best!
Valkyrie Ascending -- now updated with the second in a series!
    ArmaRagnaGeddonRock-yer-Yuga! -- celeztial shitz 'n' gigglez
I . Miss . America -- "colored [eyes] may hypnotize..."

Yes! Huge Tim Schafer fan! Was cleaning out my office the other day and found Full throttle and grim fandango....might need to reinstall. Haven't gotten around to playing psychonauts yet, i've been working 65 hour weeks lately. no games for me.
