I hav 1 advice for u...dont leave off this art stuff no matter wht comes up in ur life...else u wud regret it later(like me)...also, a proper art education always does good...
Welcome to the boards!
Glad you've started a book. They're a great way to build a good collection of art, and improve while doing it. Have a look around as see that the artist who are doing great work now didn't always start out that way, but they just worked at it and eventually came up with the goods.
Keep going with the life studies and referencing as well, and then when you've got the basics down, you can go crazy.
ty guys, and suman, as i said before those aren't in order, anyways suman do u have an sb?) show me ur shit, bet ur good since ur 28....And mull u don't have bad sketches, they're kind of wierd..(but thats art for ya, huh?)you did go crazy lol.
cheers guys, ty for droppin by, and leave some comments next time(i need em), high school starts next year though...i probablly won't have time to draw, but i'll do as much as possible right now and over the summer.

np, and ty for comments and dropping by!!!
Check this place out, this guy is great for working on ur fundamental drawing skills. I use every technique he talks about. Its an excellent place to learn the basics of pen control.
Consistency is key, just draw everyday, if only for 10 min. you'll get results.
OBX - drawing a.d.d.
The art of Joel Hladky
-Fear is the enemy of Imagination - Andrew Jones-
The last one looks good. but i recommend that you do some anatomy studyes to better understand the shapes of the body,
some lines looks like they are without purpose and/or overdone.
thanks guys, that's wut i'm doing right now, trying to get my anatomy straight, but i haven't posted drawings for years!!!!
ya i try drawing life also, and figure drawings of my own, but since i'm 14 my mom thinks it's porno...

ty sybo i'll try just that!
Hey Raistlin, thanks for visiting my sb. I think something that might help you is setup some still lifes, and bring some lights around your objects, and practice doing some of them. Help you with understanding form, give you practice in shading, and the main thing it will help is drawing from life and direct observation. Also I think a few already suggested, but pratice doing some anatomy/figure studies. I'll be watching you progress. Happy drawing.
ty dude i'll do just that!!!and thanks for critics!
As far as this one goes, you might find it worth your while to get a reference photo/model
And sadly ur right....
hey man,, alot of people visited ur SB said it already = most of artist start out drawing wonky,,, but they progress as they go. The harder they try the better the result.... Once again, I'll emphasize what other artist have already encourage = draw from life and use ref.. Keep it coming man, peace!
My sketchbook <<<< share your thoughts and crit my sketches
thanks guys, really apritiate it! do any of you know any drawing tutorals, like hair, and other shit like that. Because i see progress in my work, although i haven't posted it in my SB, beause my scanner is dead...Anyways the problem is i dont know what to do with the hair, and sometimes how to draw the body, especially the back.....thanx for the help!
oh ya almost forgot, i'm thinking of starting a new SB. Should I? ANd how do i change my avatar or whatever for my SB? LOL
