Just get ref from the internet and Draw draw draw..It's all just lines at the end of the day.. the more you do the more they make sense and you can manipulate them to do what you want.. You should keep this book. A new sketch Book would show a lack of confidence in your old work IMO. Nothing wrong with changing style and subject in a sketchbook.. That's what it's all about. I personally love seeing the progression people make through their sklechbooks. Just look at Bumskee's book on here to see what is truly possible with hard work.
    Dont give in..Keep posting! :-)

A lot of emotions come through in your work, and that is a gift.

Just keep practicing with anatomy and you'll soar high.

    Also, love Johnny!

Contact one of the mods or admins and they can do it for you.

Ditto on every post suggesting anatomy studies man. You have friends that don't mind you sketching them while they watch tv/xbox or whatever? It's an easy way to start your studies.

proportions seem to be skewed in your character pieces, maybe studying muscles and bones might be a good way to get the basics of anatomy down first, to get a better idea of the general structure before putting skin over it, and don't study the outlines when you do studies, pay the most attention to the shapes and how light falls on different shapes.

keep posting artz, every drawing you do is a step forward

Thanks for commenting in my sketchbook dude. You've go tons of ideas but you're beening held back by your inability to put the down on the paper accurately. You need to start doing a lot more drawings from life/photo reference in addition to your concepts. I know life drawing isn't as fun but it needs to be done, and when you go back to drawing your own creations it will help strengthen you art immensely! So go out and sketch!

Keep drawing, mate. Never stop and draw more and more. If you are well disciplined you can study and get good very quickly.

Don't let things discourage you, you can draw well if you practice. Cheers!

Yeah what Matt said, just keep it up! And as a new rule, dont update when you got no art to accompany your post! Just to keep yourself working ^^

And how did you ever get a 1 star rating on this book :o

Great start, although cmon where are the sketches! Pay attention in any figure drawing classes you might have. If they don't offer it, find a local art center that does. The earlier you start on this the better you will become!

Need to c drawings...draw draw draw. Get yourself a Loomis or Hogarth book and do some reference work. Using comics as a starting point isn't ideal because each artist has there own style which they have pulled from life. You need to go to the source and see how the body works. Get on it and stay on it, that's how you will get better.

...a perpetual plan for discovery days, where everyone can take part in "purposeless play".

Your pencil strokes give your drawings a lot of motion and energy, but when applied almost equally to all of the drawing it makes it look a bit hairy. Try out single confident lines for fun it will also will help keep the drawing cleaner. I like the gothic vibe from these drawings.

Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

One thing is for sure and that's that you have a great taste in music
When it comes to your art I would say that it is looking good for someone your age. If you keep at it, by the time you're twenty you'll be an awsome artist! One advice from me would be to try out studing human anatomy. It is really something that will pay off. Keep posting!

    Cheers.

say dude, thanks for commenting on my thread.
seems like you've already been told a hundred times what i was going to say:
    work on your anatomy. haha
sooo, instead of spending money, check this out:
    http://www.fineart.sk/
go there, look for the link to "Andrew Loomis Anatomy Books"
they're all right there online for you for free.
study em. and by "study em" i mean, look at his drawings and re-draw them yourself. it doesn't matter that it isn't an original drawing. its a learning process, just say that they are Loomis studies.
oh, and the biggest bit of advice i can give you is this: draw EVERY DAY. im serious. if you draw EVERY DAY, you cant help but get better.
oh, and one last thing: have fun.
