thanks for the awesome comments guys!
I made a quick tutorial last night about painting trees. Not much, kind of stupid here and there but i still hope it can help. I'm not saying this is the perfect way, it's just the way i normally do things.
You can watch it on Youtube here:
    Painting trees by Sickbrush
and here is the final image:

I hope this is useful! Enjoy!

here's what came out of the stream, i think i was on for maybe 5-6 hours in total.
we started with some lazy silhouettes and then i took one of them and refined it and i added butterflies and rainbows [no jokes] and then it turned out like this:

[it's my first robo so be gentle]

Nice one... lots of colors, yet they harmonize really well.

@Mat_Kaminski - thank you! I think posting the brushes might be counter intuitive since the tutorial covers the brush creation process too. But sure, i'll try finding a place to upload.
@in2eternity - thank you very much! glad to see you here
@tehmeh - thanks man, was nice having you around, i hope to see you on the streams again. [can't wait to have fun with those sketches arghhh]
@p_sage - lots of colors indeed, you should have seen the butterflies heh. thanks!
@Tsuyoki - glad the tutorial was helpful, you're welcome!

    @Sushy - Thank you!

@Sickbrush - go back to work maggot!

    BOO!

Also, good job on those sketches. I think they need a bit more "depth" though. maybe stuff floating around in the water?

Anyway, I know why you failed with the Animu. You forgot the GIANT DESU EYES. Just copy/paste a pair on there and SUCCESS :3

Warning! Drinking lots of beer can impair your senses. Please do so before you view my sketchbook!

I just sampled through yer sb from the beginning.

    haha manga fail...

the EOW sketches look promosing...I like #3 the best, with perhaps some more foreground presence than the crab at the left (which looks like it's ing to the structure actually lol)...maybe a little spybot or something looking at the base...or summink....

Art is not about competing against others and being better than everyone else, but it is about competing against yourself and discovering your greatest potential!

Thanks Nicky, glad to see you again there. It's hard for me to know if the streams are fun but i do my best to just chill out with you guys so that it's more like a hang out in the park with a beer drawing together.
I'll try to do them more often again, like i used to, depending on my demented schedule.

    Thanks again man, cheers.
