Hi, I'm doing alot of vehicles lately and I just wanted to know what you guys think so far..
This is the initial sketch.
And this is a more detailed drawing on a A3. Still gonna render it with greyscale markers. Later on doing a detailed photoshop render on this one.
More sketches coming up! I'm thinking of starting a sketchbook thread in a few days with all my sketches en doodles.
Let me know what you think.

Yeah elipses are really hard to pull of, gonna need to improve on those.
Some hovercraft thumbs from a while ago.
I`m gonna scan the other design later, maybe its a better idea to start a sketchbook.
Anyway, just want to know what you guys think.
I really like your views of mechs you really have a great talent with that, and if I had your knowledge of point perspectives I think I wouldn't be so bleh with proportions
great job man keep it up and I can't wait to see what you put out in the future ^_^
some nice hover craft designs.
hey jonas, bangelijke dingen hier,
anyways, i like the dezings, i think you really have some potentional,
you have become alot beter since the previous drawings i saw from u...
show the guys on the board your collor studies man,
cya in belgium
Indeed, keep posting they're awesome.
This is far from finished but I want to show you how I progress.
Only the front of the vehicle is almost finished, as you can see the cockpit and the engines still needs work.
I'm not so sure about the engines, the perspective is off(I could fix it in photoshop) but I dont like the way they look.
Trying to do a tight rendering here, I will do some loose and quick rendering on other vehicles.
also the background needs work offcourse..
What do you guys think?
I redid the engines. Still alot of work, the background is going to be some kind of ruïne, the cockpit with the pilot, the thing on the back, shadow below the vehicle, some dust flying around and fire that comes out of the engines.
but what do you think so far?
awesome stuff man. i wish i had a knack of drawing vehicles, but i dont so i dont have much to say about your design. looking good though. about the bg though, i think you seem to lose the effect of speed with the way painted out the pillars. maybe painting them in the same direction you did for the ground will help. good luck sir!
This drawing seems very good to me, if you can finish it with the same level of quality It'll look great. Your textures and colours are nice, and you improved the engines considerably by redrawing them.
Some remarks though :
- The side of the vehicle being in the shadow, shouldn't the engines be less highlighed ? (particularly their top side)
- The ventilation things in front of the cockpit certainly don't help to see the road
- I agree with the pillars remark.
I hope you'll show us the final result soon !
I agree with the vents in the front, maybe sink them in? I like 'em
Some nice textures going on, but the left pillar (at the back) of the cockpit seems to be at too big an angle compared to the on at the front.
Also, the cockpit looks huge and chunky so at first sight I thought that the pilots legs would be somewhere in the engine exhaust . The pilot seems a bit small for such a huge cockpit.
- L.G.Razzles: Yes I painted the pillars really quickly but your right, I`m gonna redo those.
- Norel: Propably the top of the engines are less visible, gonna put a shadow on there i think.
I know about the vents, the pilot has to look over them though because I`m not gonna change that part aargh maybe I`ll change them later when this piece is almost finished
- Vulture: thx you like em, there is alot more detail on those than you actually could see because of the small size of the image. Maybe I`ll fix them later.
- yoitisi: I`m not completely satisfied with the cockpit either but you can say it`s a large vehicle, maybe its a cockpit for two pilots who knows I definitely going to look into cockpits next time to fit the scale of the vehicle. Thx for the notice!
small update, the cockpit is done and a few details like shadows on the engines etc...
The background is just a test, not so sure about it, does it work with the image or not...
Next week I`ll post the final image. Now I`m going back to the drawing table en sketch my ass off!
Almost forgot to post the image
looking great man. youre almost there. im diggin the colors and the lighting but the pillars are still not working. youre cutting off too much, and the perspective doesnt look like its working unless theyre up a hill. also maybe trying bring in a foreground element cuz there seems to be a bit of dead space. keep it up
Great overal design my friend!! Looks like a fast machine to me 'uhu' I love the craft on the upeer right corner from the first page (love how the cockpit is tucked away in the aircraft so u can only see a piece of it)...
U got some interesting forms going on here...Try to invent as many forms as u possibly can and then combining them to create the uber craft! Don't forget the shapes u created (also when u don't like them) they will come in handy later on.
The Crafts u have got going here are all pretty squared, non organic, wich is good
Maybe add some engine tubes, buttons sticking out (just a tought) - bit like u had going on your original sketch, but they got lost in the paint i guess
Overall really great work i can smell the talent, GJ

perspective on the back pilers looks off to me... or something they look so flat compared to everything else. maybe more contrast, darker shadow? give the piece some more mood?
awsome. the design is really vulgar and blunt but it looks great. lighting is really nice and your perspective looks pretty good but i am a little confused w the booster things on the underside. wouldnt those propell the thing to go downward instead of directly ahead? your ortho view is beautiful for a sketch, i understand u dont wanna put to much more into those but it would add a lot if you corrected the guy in the cockpit. again awsome stuff. keep it up
Well, as much as i love it. There is a mistake i can see on the side and front view. The side view, the driver can barely see over the black vents in the front, whereas, the front view, the driver can clearly see over the vents in the front. Other than that no other critique. I think the design is awesome, and nice job coloring on it also. Really like the engine and fire comin out.
Gonna start a sketchbook soon btw...
And a really quick render.
Small update on this one, I didnt have much time lately to finish this one.

nice work, it's looking sweet. I'm glad you fixed the pillars, they look fine now.
Like sowens said: pillars are looking better now. In the previous version they came way too much out of the BG, because they were so bright. In this version they are were they should be > in the background. Great job on fixing that! I also dig the flames comming out of the outtakes (engines)...The biggest + in the new version is the brightness. Now i can finally see those bad-ass laser beam guns.
In general i don t have anything to crit on it. That Vesped is way cool too Really cool design and cool forms. Mayb u could let us admire the design in top front and side view too?
From the pencil sketches u posted i'm diggin the first one the most. It's just plain and simple the most original design of them all. Also i seem like the whole of the form is working here. Some of ur machines tend too look a bit like loose forms brought together in one big. But in this one u seem to have understood of keeping the vehicle's form as a whole. Only thing im wondering bout is how the end/rear of the machine looks like? Anyway love that design...has some 60's style in it a bit, like it could be in that skycaptain and the world of tomorrow movie (if u v seen it?)
Anyway good job, the best compliment i can give u is: U have improved! Keep up posting!!! (damn i should do the same :p)
