here are some quick sketches i did last night. i'm working with trying to get interesting designs that aren't completely mindless. i got a super nice book on native american design over the break which i've been geeking out over lately. some of that comes out in these sketches i suppose.

    ID STUFF

Here is a page from my portfolio. This is an older drawing that i did color studies of. I'm looking to get a internship at a toy company such as hasbro or fisher price. Below is a render I did in class of a mouse or something...

hei, like all your concepts mate!
latest robot design is great! , and those egyptian concepts are sweeeeeet!
you could try to put in some more/bigger difference in the concept phase, maybe youl get a "happy accident"
btw your sketchbook link doesnt work..

Water bully looks great, would love to see more of that.

Good luck with the internship! My only crit is that I'd pick a different character to feature on the character page. That guy with the stick across his shoulders carrying the bottles may make a nicer feature piece. Looks good!

dile- hey dile! im gonna try to post more often.

    oma- thanks!

mattgamer-hey bro! new sb's are great. insomnia was amazing. lots of really good information. many of the pro's kept stressing how important it is to have both good drawing and design skills as well as the ability to depict material and surface. you should get to a workshop asap. take care!

arrekusu- hey there! thanks for the comments. i use photoshop for my stuff and a wacom of course. cya.

    gnoll- more to come bro!

    jokisalo- thanks alot!

    seth- it pays of x10

frostsnake thanks bro! ive been looking at alot of different cultures for inspiration. i'll work on making my design stages more evident.

    designboot robots are funnn!

    inviniblewombat

cgoz thanks a ton! ill have a finished portfolio soon and ill update it on that post.

meats thanks man! good to seeya on here again. i think for the character page im just going to put the five characters on the back and move the samurai to my "thank you" end page. cya!

    mentler always appeciated, thanks!

brendan n thanks a lot! i'm still working on my design sense.

dile thanks man! no worries about poor ratings. oh and i get rid of the yellow background and balance them out when i scan them in cya

now for a dump of sketches. im working on some more rendered stuff. i mostly just like quick sketching with the hi tec c to generate interesting shapes. these aren't in any particular order. i've been looking at a lot of native american design as well as old schooner and chinese "junk" sale ships.
