Very nice linearts
Here is a Statue piece I did recently, just for fun.
Let's see some portrait studies eh? Photos or life, doesn't matter.
What helps is doing placement excersizes... Alot of people only thing to do them when they are doing something they need to look good in, but doing them correct, and often really helps drill it into you.
Great job. Digging your style.
Here is a quicky. Just some ruined caslte fun.
JUST MESSING AROUND WITH INDIA INK. Touched up a bit in PS

Here is a Hellboy piece.(1/hr) I used ref from a Chris Lichtner sculpt, i found a pic on on the net. Wish I had that sculpture it's looks amazing! I added that cigar.
Here is some more experimenting with my watercolors. Getting tha hang of it, me thinks. Some of the lighter colors weren't picked up by the scanner, bummer.
More watercolor fun. Watercolors are really a cool medium.1/hr. I updated this piece today (Jan 15) it needed more depth, so i added some light trees in the background.

Here is another quick sketch.
Good stuff! Clean lines, i like the style!
Jeez!...didn't see you had a new book.
Your figure work is coming along.
One of the many tricks with women is not
rendering every muscle...makes em look a bit mannish.
But other than that...keep em comin.
Helzon-hey Mike, thanks for stopping by! Yeah, it's hard to paint women, there so smooth.LOL! I'll keep practicing.
Decided to render this piece further.
Here's a W.I.P. of skull sketch i'm working on.
Wow Lone wolf, this is a badass sb. I love the way you use darks, I always feel like I'm drowing in a drawing or using a lot of black, but definitly know how to control it. I'm really digging your line quality also.
Crit: feb 1 post, guy lifting his arm: The anatomy looks good, There is a problem with his right pectoral muscle, when an arm is lifted the peck is also raised, stretching the muscle out. But in your drawing the muscle is looks the same as if it were relaxed. Keep em coming. This skull rendering is looking mmm mmm good, can't wait to see an update. Keep up the good work.
Darktwin-thanks. I see what you mean about the pec. Thanks again.
Don't know if i posted this in my old sketchbook. But here it is. Plague Zombie.
Hey Mack...yep I remember this from the old thread...great way to show variation of form. Still kinda reminds me of Toxic Avenger..but I would love to see that skull finished up.
Keep up the great work.
Overall really nice!
Like your rendering and the weight in your characters!
Helzon- I guess i did post it.Thanks Mike. I am working on that skull in my free time. I'll post it as soon as it's done.
Alice-thank you. Glad you enjoy the work.
Here's some skethces for art test.
frixon-thanks and here is the final. I might update the piece a bit.
